Senior Contract Specialist I/II

Typical Accountabilities:

  • Oversee the contract lifecycle from contract creation, review, revision, negotiation, finalization to the execution.
  • Facilitate contract internal review
  • Advice and make proper decision on contract terms, especially on legal language, intellectual property, subject injury treatment, GCP regulation, operation requirement, etc.
  • Lead the cross-functional team collaboration and engage with key stakeholders (e.g. Legal/Lawyer and compliance).
  • Contract template management
  • Study level: confirm the study standard template (including budget template) with study team upon study SSU kick off meeting.
  • Country level: maintain country level contract templates
  • Site level: create and maintain site specific contract templates; release them for study team using upon the relevant requests.
  • Support master CSA or framework CSA review and negotiations with key site.
  • Subject injury claim and insurance procedure support.
  • Organize the study level and department level contract related trainings, including workflow, system operation, document templates, knowledge sharing, etc.
  • Contribute to coach and supervise junior staff on contract issue.
  • Other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Academic / Professional Qualification

  • Bachelor degree or above in Pharmacy, Medical, Biology, Legal, Business or related field.

Technical / Skills Training

  • Solid knowledge of the clinical study process and understanding of working procedures, together with an understanding of the ICH/GCP guidelines.
  • Can well build collaboration with internal and external customers. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in both oral and written English.
  • Integrity and high ethical standards.

Working Experience

  • At least 5 years industry experience of clinical trial, including 2 years in clinical contract management.
  • Good computer skills in Microsoft and other software.

Demonstrates ability of organization and administration.
