The Role
Key Responsibilities
1. Comprehensive evaluation and diagnosis of the platform
Perform an end-to-end assessment of the HPE NonStop platform.
Analyze the current architecture (hardware, software, network, middleware, applications).
Review transactional loads, peaks, usage patterns, and historical performance.
2. Identification of failure points and risks
Detect:
Availability risks
Potential single points of failure
Configuration issues
Bottlenecks
Security vulnerabilities
Monitoring gaps
Assess disaster resilience, failover, backup, and restore strategies.
3. Review of operational practices
Validate existing procedures.
Assess compliance with HPE best practices and banking standards.
Analyze patching, change management, automation, and maintenance processes.
4. Recommendations and improvement roadmap
Propose technical and organizational improvements based on:
HPE standards
Resilience frameworks focused on Tandem (BCP, DRP)
Banking best practices
Observability and proactive monitoring
Deliver a report including:
Findings
Risk classification
Recommended actions
Remediation plan
Quick wins vs. structural improvements
5. Strategic support and guidance
Advise the technical team during improvement implementation.
Recommend optimizations for performance, security, and availability.
Suggest practices to reduce operational risks and production outages.
Who You Are
Technical Requirements
Mandatory
5–10 years of experience in HPE NonStop / Tandem platforms.
At least 10 years working with banking architectures.
Expert knowledge of key HPE NonStop / Tandem components.
Expertise in redundant configuration options and fault-tolerant architectures.
Experience diagnosing banking or high-transaction ecosystems.
Strong understanding of financial protocols and transactional flows.
Deep knowledge of high availability, clusters, replication, and disaster recovery.
Preferred
Experience in technology audits.
Knowledge of Tandem integration with hybrid ecosystems.
Familiarity with banking cybersecurity methodologies.
Experience in the Mexican banking sector.
Technical English for documentation and intermediate/advanced English for global team interaction.
Professional Competencies
Strong technical and systemic analysis skills.
Ability to identify complex problems and propose conceptual and technical solutions.
Clear communication for executive presentations.
Structured, organized, and rigorous documentation approach.
