Job Description & Summary

Do you want to help clients create value in a deal (M&A) context? Do you want to provide new and original insights using a wide range of analytics tools and techniques in the financial and commercial context? Do you want to work with a large variety of companies and understand their business drivers? How about analysing and validating the financial, commercial, operational and strategical hypotheses driving each Deal? Does this appeal to you?

What does your work look like?

As a Deal Analytics Consultant, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients address complex business issues. The projects involve supporting clients in buying and selling companies in which data analytics plays an increasingly important role. You will work with data from the sales, marketing, operational- and financial systems of the client to identify key value drivers and advice on possibilities to improve. In terms of analysis, you will focus not on a single technique, but make sure you have a wide range of techniques and tools at your disposal to optimally help your clients.

In your daily job, you will work on things like:

  • Identifying and addressing business hypotheses using data analytics techniques;

  • Being involved in the whole project cycle: data request, data structuring, data analysing, delivering actionable insights and reporting;

  • Communicating results to clients and participating in meetings with top management of target companies;

  • Working with broader deal team to incorporate the analyses in the wider PwC view on the target businesses;

  • Contributing to internal innovation projects to improve current way of working or acquire knowledge about new techniques and tools;

You will get the chance to be part of a growing team in one of the most successful Deal (M&A) practices in the market. You will work in deal teams consisting of colleagues with different backgrounds and expertise, in which you are responsible for the data analytics driven insights. You will work on projects for both corporate and Private Equity clients, giving you unique insight into Danish and international businesses.

Who are you?

Your passion is to work with data to answer commercial questions while working in a dynamic environment. You are curious by nature, enjoy diving deep to find answers and you have the desire to go beneath the surface of a problem. Furthermore:

  • You preferably have 1-3 years of relevant work experience in financial or management consulting and/or data analytics (or you are recent graduate).

  • You are a team player, but can also work autonomously;

  • You have experience with data structuring, analysis and visualisation tools (e.g. Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau) and basic experience with R, Python, SQL or similar programming tools;

  • You can communicate data driven insights to non-technical audiences including senior leadership teams concisely;

  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Danish is not a requirement but is an advantage;

  • What do we offer?

We are passionate about what we do and who we work we. We will devote much attention to your personal and technical development. Next to access to internal and external training, there is also an important element of learning on the job to develop your data analytics capabilities. Furthermore, you will get a coach who will help you with your development throughout your career.

The Danish Deal Analytics team works closely together with PwC Deal Analytics teams in the Nordic region as well as globally. International opportunities therefore can become part of your career development.

For all that you are. And everything you can become.

As part of PwC, you will join a market success and a friendly workplace. Between the two trust emerges, careers develop, and you and your colleagues will find solutions for the businesses and society that we are all a part of. This is why we say: Together we succeed.
