The Data & Analytics Function oversees the analytics life-cycle in order to identify, analyze and present relevant insights that drive business decisions and anticipate opportunities to achieve a competitive advantage. This function manages analytic data platforms, the access, design and implementation of reporting/business intelligence solutions, and the application of advanced quantitative modeling.

Data Analytics applies business process knowledge and data analytics to develop, recommend and communicate timely, accurate, relevant and actionable insights to support business decisions and objectives.

Our mission is to provide insights that drive outcomes.  The People Analytics and Data Assurance (PAnDA) team at Cardinal Health serves as the data and analytics Center of Excellence (COE) for Human Resources enterprise-wide. It's our responsibility to understand and improve the employee experience at Cardinal Health.  We work on all aspects of the employee life cycle, from hiring, to retention, to engagement, and beyond.

Job Summary 
We are currently seeking a technical leader who can collaborate and execute on our vision to improve utilization and user experience in our Tableau landscape. A successful candidate will have experience in working with non-technical stakeholders to understand their needs, and building/maintaining high quality analytic products that can be understood by these stakeholders. Our data landscape includes tables that live in Google cloud, as well as a SQL server, and team members are required to understand both environments and be able to correctly aggregate and join data using SQL prior to ingestion to Tableau for visualization and storytelling.

Responsibilities

  • Serve in a consultative role to enable HR to solve problems and make data-driven decisions.
  • Improve user experience with our existing dashboards and visualization tools, embracing an “even better if” mindset.
  • Design new solutions as needed in consultation with partners to ease the process of obtaining and understanding data.
  • Set and manage business expectations through implementation, maintain communication with partners throughout the process.
  • Collaborate with the team to define best practices in design and data storytelling.
  • Develop and reinforce a framework for utilization of our data visualization tools (Tableau, Crunchr, Python).
  • Write SQL queries that are clear, efficient, and correct to pull information out of our database.
  • Build new dashboards and visualizations using Tableau.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • 8+ years of experience, preferred
  • Experience consulting with stakeholders required
  • Experience using Tableau, SQL required
  • Crunchr, Python experience preferred
  • Experience with statistics and hypothesis testing, preferred
  • HR domain knowledge preferred

Anticipated salary range: $ 105,100 - $150,100
