What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting to the Director, Commercial Banking Business Applications Management, you will support planning and execution of high complexity transformational projects in the Commercial Bank. You will be part of a team focused on the development, support and maintenance of Commercial Banking’s Suite of Technology Applications and Data. The suite of applications are used by the Line of Business for several purposes including billing, lending, monitoring of credit compliance, customer relationship management (CRM), among others. The applications collect and store information for business analysis and decision-making. You will provide support across the initiative lifecycle such as business case drafting, leading stakeholder sessions, providing strategic recommendation, execution of programs and projects, and other related activities.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Strategy and Roadmap – Collaborate with the broader business team to create and continuously refine the vision and roadmap for key Commercial Banking applications. Identifying and prioritizing initiatives that address the right customer needs, and align with the strategic vision, competitive landscape, and business value. Making recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives by leveraging an in-depth understanding of the business or group

  • Business Lead - Business lead for changes to Commercial Banking applications and implementation of new technology used by the frontline and operations which involve partnering with business and technology stakeholders to launch new initiatives, define project scope and build business cases to secure funding. You will be involved in overseeing requirements gathering and ensuring features and capabilities are built according to specifications .Providing overall project management for assigned activities Supporting the documentation of current and future processes and workflows, including detailed activities, controls, and other relevant documentation

  • Ongoing Application Management – Support the ongoing management of key Commercial Banking applications by managing the application backlog, contributing to Annual Business Planning and application release planning, preparing ongoing and ad-hoc reports as required, maintaining and reviewing application user access controls and process, providing project management support within the team and supporting the documentation of application-related activities, controls, and other relevant information. You will need to recommend improvements, including process re-engineering and alignment of activities with best-fit areas. Monitoring shared mailboxes and responding to inquiries related to the applications is also required.

  • Application Development and Testing Support – Supporting application development teams with interpreting business requirements and business rules. Supporting Quality Assurance teams with investigating and resolving variances from system integrated testing and user acceptance testing. Working with Quality Assurance and Business stakeholders to develop and execute business testing scenarios

  • Change Management and Training – Support Change Management team with development and delivery of the content for the user training sessions for applications as applicable.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate experience working with technology applications and collaborating with technology teams, including involvement in large-scale technology transformation initiatives.

  • You have working knowledge of Commercial Banking’s key priorities and initiatives to meet business objectives, as well as Commercial Banking’s products and services, structure and operations. You are proficient with Microsoft Office tools, such as PowerPoint, Excel and Word.

  • You're passionate about people. You have the ability to establish and build healthy working relationships and partnerships with clients (internal and external), vendors and peers.

  • You are a problem solver. You have knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems.

  • You’re goal oriented. You have strong project management skills including project plan development, budgeting and scheduling.
