Roblox is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to step into a critical role that will focus on building, managing, and scaling our transparency reporting program in partnership with legal, data science, engineering, and product teams.  You will also focus on managing the end to end process for responding to complex requests for dataset access.  

The ideal candidate is highly organized, motivated, reliable, and execution oriented.  You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you are expected to effectively manage multiple highly-cross-functional programs at once. You have deep experience in transparency reporting and regulatory data operations. 

You Will:

  • Drive Complex Data Requests: Coordinate with Engineering, Legal, Data Science, and Product teams to process, organize, and extract time sensitive complex requests for dataset access, ensuring adherence to strict privacy and security standards.
  • Manage Transparency Roadmaps: Partner closely with our Transparency Reporting Product Manager and Data Science teams to build, maintain, and execute comprehensive roadmaps for our public transparency reporting.
  • Manage End-to-End Publication: Oversee the lifecycle of our transparency reports from data collection and validation to drafting, cross-functional review, and final public release.
  • Mitigate Project Risks: Monitor work streams, identify technical or operational bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure regulatory deadlines and publication dates are met on time.
  • Streamline Processes: Build, develop, and optimize programmatic documentation, workflows, and trackers for data requests and the transparency reporting program.

You Have:

  • Experience: 6+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Compliance, Transparency Reporting, or Data Science preferably within the Technology sectors.
  • Technical Acumen: Demonstrated experience working directly with Data Science and Engineering teams. Familiarity with database architecture, data pipelines, and query languages (e.g., SQL) to effectively scope and organize data pulls.
  • Reporting Experience: Prior experience supporting the creation, data validation, and publication of public-facing transparency reports, compliance audits, or complex external data disclosures.
  • Regulatory Fluency: Demonstrated capability to become fluent in relevant regulatory frameworks, especially those focused on online safety. 
  • Structured Organization: Exceptional project management skills with the ability to track hundreds of moving parts simultaneously using tools like Jira, Asana, Airtable or GRC platforms.
  • Communication Skills: You are an excellent writer and verbal communicator who can synthesize complex technical and legal concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Ability to manage competing priorities across dependent teams, drive alignment, and deliver under tight deadlines.

 

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.

Annual Salary Range
$277,350$330,330 USD

Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
