In this role, you will play a critical role in designing, analyzing, and administering compensation programs that support Guardian’s talent, performance, and business strategy. This role requires deep compensation expertise, seasoned judgment, and the ability to solve complex problems independently while partnering closely with HR, Finance, and business leaders. You will act as a trusted advisor, contributing insights that influence pay decisions, program design, and market competitiveness.
You are
A seasoned compensation professional with in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and programs. You are comfortable working independently with broad direction, applying sound judgment to complex pay issues, and challenging the status quo to improve outcomes. You value collaboration, can translate data into clear insights, and are viewed as a go-to resource by colleagues and stakeholders.
You have
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
4–6+ years of progressive experience in compensation, rewards, HR analytics, or a related field
Strong working knowledge of base pay, incentive compensation, job architecture, market pricing, and pay governance
Experience applying compensation data, surveys, and analytics to support business decisions
Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with HR systems and compensation tools
Ability to explain complex or sensitive compensation topics to varied audiences
You will
Independently analyze and evaluate compensation programs, including base pay and incentive plans, ensuring internal equity, market competitiveness, and regulatory compliance
Conduct job evaluations and market pricing using established methodologies and external survey data; provide data-driven recommendations
Serve as a subject-matter resource to HR partners and leaders on compensation policies, guidelines, and pay decisions
Solve complex compensation issues and recommend improvements by applying seasoned judgment and new perspectives
Lead or contribute to cross-functional compensation projects impacting multiple business units
Reporting Relationships
As our Senior Compensation Business Partner, you will report to our Compensation Business Partner Leader.
Location /Travel
Hybrid role: 3 days in the Stamford CT; Hudson Yards, NYC; Holmdel NJ or Bethlehem PA office. 2 days WFH.
Salary Range:
$82,770.00 - $135,975.00The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
