PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead regional sales managers to deliver the targets set in the operation plan. Drive profitable LB, MB, PG, Helium business growth in the sub region through working closely with other function teams in the sub region to ensure AP has a leading profitable position in the market.
- Lead and work with key functional teams like Asset management Plan Operation, Distribution, Supply Chain and Customer Engineering to continuously lower supply cost to achieve best utilization of existing assets.
- Achieve sales excellence through sales efficiency improvement, ensure good training program offered to new sales, track sales performance through sales KPIs and SIP.
- Lead sales managers to drive the peak performance of the teams to meet customer’s requirement in the LB, PG, MB Helium sales, Marketing, Value-added Service and application technology support area.
- Key account development and retention.
- Contribute to China Strategy work by working with strategic core team and execute related strategic initiatives in the sub region.
- Coordinate with GAD to drive and optimize support for profitable growth.
- Submit daily, weekly and monthly work plans and reports on time.
- Drive the process efficiency in the entire sales cycle to improve customer satisfaction
- Drive PIP and ME to pass through the cost inflation so as to improve margin.
- Identify and support CT projects in the sub region to continuously improve productivity so as to improve the competitiveness of AP’s offering.
- Be a role model and mentor for less experienced employees to help employees’ career development.
- Responsible for the career development of the sub regional sales team. Provide ongoing guidance and coaching to sub regional sales managers and other team members to improve their performance and get high potential employees ready for bigger responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
1. Education
- University education (Business or Technical discipline preferred) MBA is desired.
2. Work Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience with at least 5-8years in a managerial capacity in multinational Companies operating in China.
- Experience in industrial gases or chemicals would be a strong plus.
- Cross functional experience is a strong plus.
3. Skills
- Sales, commercial, influence and negotiation skills.
- Sound financial, administrative and management skills.
- Strong communication skills including written and spoken English and Chinese.
4. Qualities
- A thorough understanding of the Gases business, products/ offerings and objectives.
- Leadership capabilities – positive supervisory experience with strong capability in team management, positive team development experience
- Integrity – act with integrity and in accordance with company ethics. Ability to confront behavior not consistent with company values. Honors commitments.
- Problem solving and decision – making skills – decisions that reflect thorough evaluation of needs, goals, etc., demonstrated ability to make recommendations and decision, with ability to influence key decision makers in the company.
