Position Summary:
Triumph is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in public cloud infrastructure, cloud operations, and infrastructure automation. In this role, you’ll manage and optimize cloud environments, implement scalable solutions, and support seamless deployment of cloud applications—while also strengthening platform governance, observability, cost optimization, and hybrid connectivity across our environments. Day in the Life
As a Senior Cloud Engineer at Triumph, you’ll work across Dev, QA, and Production environments, ensuring smooth cloud application delivery. You’ll troubleshoot issues, automate infrastructure tasks, and collaborate with developers, IT teams, and business partners to deliver high performing, secure cloud solutions.
You’ll also manage Windows & Linux server workloads that support application delivery, operate core services such as DNS, PKI, and certificates, and respond to incidents that span cloud, network, server, and application layers—supported by robust observability and cost management practices.
What You’ll Be Doing
Design, deploy, and optimize public cloud infrastructure for enterprise applications.
Manage cloud resources across:
AWS: EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, ALB/ELB, CloudTrail, KMS, Route53
Azure: Virtual Machines, Blob Storage, Azure SQL, VNets, Azure AD, AKS, Azure Monitor, Application Gateway/Load Balancer, Key Vault, Azure DNS
Automate provisioning and configuration using Terraform.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement and maintain cloud solutions.
Monitor cloud performance, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure security and compliance.
Document systems, processes, and best practices for cloud operations.
Research and implement new cloud technologies to improve reliability and efficiency.
Participate in on-call rotation and occasional after-hours support.
Additional platform and operational responsibilities:
Build and maintain secure Landing Zones, and implement account/subscription governance, identity integrations (AAD/IAM), and platform guardrails across AWS and Azure.
Integrate VNet and VPC architectures with on-premise networks; support ExpressRoute, site-to-site VPN, and intercloud connectivity.
Support migration efforts away from legacy VMware platforms as part of broader cloud modernization initiatives, while transitioning any workloads that must remain on-premise into Microsoft HyperV.
Implement observability capabilities including logging, monitoring, dashboards, and alerting; execute cloud cost management strategies including rightsizing and reserved instance planning.
Provision, configure, and lifecycle manage Windows & Linux servers; support application deployments and upgrades; operate DNS, PKI, SSL/TLS certificate services, and identity guardrails; and manage backups and recovery using Veeam.
What Makes You a Great Fit
Bachelor's degree in technology, Engineering, or related STEM field.
8+ years of experience in IT support, cloud engineering, or infrastructure/platform management.
Hands on experience with AWS and/or Azure in production environments. Experience with AWS and/or Azure in production environments.
Strong proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals in hybrid cloud environments (routing, firewalls, VPN, ExpressRoute).
Experience with legacy VMware and workload migration patterns to public cloud.
Experience administering Windows & Linux servers and application hosting; familiarity with DNS, PKI, certificate management, and backup/recovery tooling.
