PwC

Senior Cloud DevSecOps Engineer

Athens Full time

Job Description & Summary

We’re a team that transforms vision into tech-enabled reality. We look for those who see technology not just as tools or platforms, but as the invisible infrastructure behind strategy, performance, and growth. We turn bold ideas into scalable, secure, and human-centered solutions.

SHAPING TOMORROW

Make a real impact, today, and tomorrow, through work that matters. Here, you will tackle today’s toughest challenges with a future-focused mindset; so our clients turn to us first when it matters most.

Make a real impact

In this dynamic environment, we are looking for ambitious and self-driven Senior Cloud DevSecOps Engineer to join our Cyber Security Tech team.

  • Implement Secure Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop, maintain, and optimize automated infrastructure provisioning using tools such as Terraform and Ansible to ensure consistency, scalability, repeatability, and security-by-design across environments.

  • Design and maintain Secure CI/CD Pipelines: Build and optimize CI/CD workflows using platforms such as Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions to enable rapid, reliable, and secure deployment of applications and infrastructure changes, with integrated security validation and policy enforcement.

  • Embed Security into the SDLC: Integrate security controls across the software delivery lifecycle, including code scanning, secrets detection, dependency checks, container/image scanning, and infrastructure security validation.

  • Automate Cloud Operations and Security Controls: Create automation scripts and workflows using Bash, PowerShell, or Python for routine operational tasks, monitoring, patching, remediation, and security response activities to reduce manual workload and improve reliability and control effectiveness.

  • Collaborate Across Dev, Ops, and Security Teams: Work closely with development, operations, platform, and security teams to drive DevSecOps adoption and ensure secure engineering standards are consistently applied across cloud platforms.

  • Enhance Monitoring, Detection, and Observability: Integrate monitoring, logging, alerting, and security telemetry tools such as Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, and cloud-native security tooling into automated workflows for proactive detection and response.

  • Ensure Security and Compliance: Embed security controls, compliance checks, and governance gates into IaC and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring all deployments meet internal standards, regulatory obligations, and risk management requirements.

  • Support Vulnerability and Risk Reduction: Automate identification and remediation of misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, and policy violations across cloud resources, workloads, and deployment pipelines.

  • Support Incident Response Automation: Develop automated incident response and recovery workflows to improve recovery time objectives (RTOs), strengthen resilience, and reduce human error during critical events.

  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain clear documentation for security controls, automation frameworks, deployment processes, and operational runbooks to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer.

What you bring matters

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps or DevSecOps engineering, with proven ability to design and operate secure CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and applications, integrating automated testing, deployment, and security controls.

  • Strong skills in IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent technologies.

  • Experience in developing secure automation solutions in Azure, GCP, or hybrid environments using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bash, or Python.

  • Experience in embedding security into pipelines and cloud deployments, including secrets management, code scanning, dependency validation, vulnerability management, and policy enforcement.

  • Familiarity with modern monitoring, logging, and security telemetry tools, integrating them into automated workflows.

  • Security-by-design: experience applying DevSecOps principles and secure engineering practices across infrastructure and application delivery.

  • Good understanding of IAM, secure configuration baselines, workload protection, and governance controls across cloud environments.

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, operations, security, and business stakeholders.

  • Experience in identifying inefficiencies, weaknesses, and control gaps, and implementing automation to improve operational excellence and secure delivery.

  • Strong verbal and writing skills in English and Greek
