Salary Range: $127646 - $165945 Per Year

Job Summary: You will serve as a Director, Equal Employment Opportunity (DEEO) for the United States Fleet Forces Command (USFFC). You will manage the overall Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program for the command. The EEO program provides services to approximately 20,000 civilian personnel geographically located around the world.

Major Duties:

  • You will serve as the expert advisor and spokesperson for the USFFC commanders and senior leaders on all matters pertaining to the EEO program.
  • You will manage and direct the development and implementation of Command EEO policies and procedures to effectively deal with the prevention/ elimination of individual and systemic discrimination.
  • You will represent the Command in contacts with Government and civilian agencies.
  • You will conduct staff assistance visits and inspections as scheduled by the Inspector General (IG).
  • You will monitor the overall EEO program for compliance with existing laws and regulations.
  • You will maintain liaison with EEO staff at other commands and federal agencies.
  • You will plan and administer the informal/ formal complaints process; policies and procedures; and determine allocation of resources for individual complaints.
  • You will manage development and administration of the Affirmative Employment Program, including data collection and analysis, reporting, planning, monitoring and evaluation.
  • You will ensure serviced activities and staff are adequately trained and developed with necessary skills to perform effective EEO responsibilities.
  • You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Executing, directing, or managing the delivery of civilian federal equal employment opportunity (EEO) services involving Complaints Process, Affirmative Employment Programs, and EEO Training; ensuring compliance with governing laws and regulations; developing, interpreting, or advising senior management on equal employment policies and administration; or providing input for the strategic planning of EEO resources for an organization.
