Leidos Australia delivers IT and airborne solutions that protect and advance the Australian way of life. Our 2000 local experts, backed by our global experience and network of partners, are working to solve the world’s toughest challenges in government, intelligence, defence, aviation, border protection and health markets.
Your New Role and Responsibilities
Working closely with the account management and project engineering teams at Leidos Australia, you will help shape and grow the local cloud practice capability. You’ll draw on your hyperscale cloud experience to champion creative, forward-thinking solutions that enable a smooth transition to a new future state. You will engage in open, inclusive conversations with key customer stakeholders and present solutions in a practical, approachable way to address immediate challenges while shaping long-term strategies. Central to this role is your ability to inspire a shared vision and bring teams along on the journey.
Support the technical cloud migration journey by sharing methodologies, defining workload assessment criteria, and co-creating solutions to complex challenges.
Build strong awareness through engaging presentations and insightful white papers for hybrid cloud platforms, while partnering with customer architecture and CTO groups to develop long-term IT strategies and plans.
Guide research and development initiatives, translating market-leading insights and innovations into platform capabilities that customers can embrace.
Provide collaborative technical guidance to cloud delivery teams, stepping into engineering solutions when needed to ensure success.
Shape internal strategies that empower operations teams to achieve cost efficiencies across people, processes, and technology, while contributing as a trusted subject matter expert in business development and technical presales activities.
What You’ll Bring to Make an Impact
A proven record of delivering long-term cloud transformation projects with measurable commercial and operational outcomes, complemented by experience in senior roles engaging with executive management as a collaborator, influencer, and subject matter expert across key technology domains.
Deep expertise in designing solutions for operating model and organisational transformation, technology roadmaps, infrastructure capabilities, and desktop services.
Strong cloud migration delivery experience, ideally within government organisations, across one or more hyperscale cloud providers such as AWS and Azure.
Demonstrated ability to empower and motivate teams to achieve successful customer outcomes, with experience in multi-site delivery of application and infrastructure services (e.g., cloud and data centre), and working within IT/business consulting organisations or cloud service providers (government or financial services experience highly valued).
A strong sense of ownership, delivery focus, and accountability, supported by tertiary education in a relevant discipline (business and/or IT).
Don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes – if you meet most of them, we encourage you to submit your application. We’re most interested in your strengths, what you want to learn and how far you want to go.
This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold an active Baseline security clearance and be willing to upgrade to NV-1.
