Senior Closing Consultant, Franchise Finance

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate, schedule and lead closing conferences and closing process with Deal Team (Borrowers, respective counsel and WFF) in order to achieve certainty and timeliness of closing.
  • Process including but not limited to reviewing credit approval memorandum, create closing checklist, compiling both internal and external closing deliverable items, decisioning adequacy of receivables (e.g. liability insurance, flood insurance, asset listings, lease and franchise agreement review)
  • Circulate all information and escalate exceptions to the deal team to ensure Borrower and deal team anticipated funding dates are met.
  • Obtain appropriate supporting documents including title work, flood and OFAC searches, insurance, organizational documents, real estate collateral documentation and various due diligence items to verify compliance with loan approval and bank closing procedures.
  • On syndicated transaction, coordinate with Capital Markets and Deal Team for timely approval and receipt of closing deliverables. Co-ordinate with Finance if SWAP is involved; insure proper documentation to effect SWAP is completed
  • Prepare the Settlement Statement and coordinate, as applicable, with the outside title company; collect all third-party invoices for closing; follow for internal/external payoff letter required; calculate loan fees; confirm deposit to be applied to fees or returned to Borrower.
  • Prepare and review closing disbursement documents to make sure all figures are accurate and co-ordinate any syndicated loans with external and/or internal participants.
  • Co-ordinate the receipt of the participant's approvals and signed docs with Loan Ops for timely receipt of funds at closing. If the loan is a SWAP transaction, check for documentation.
  • Comply with all bank policies and procedures as well as applicable state and federal regulations and complete all required compliance training in a timely manner
  • Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related area of study
  • 5-10 years of Franchise Loan Closing experience
  • Must be comfortable leading closing calls with other professionals, asking questions and articulating potential problems and propose solutions to closing team, bank senior management and legal counsel
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to proactively manage and prioritize workflow
  • Strong client service skills
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office software products

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $71,000 - $92,000 along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience.

Remote position will be considered for qualified candidates.
