Job Description:

Senior Civil 3D Modeler (Utilities)

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for a talented Senior Civil 3D Modeler (Utilities) to join our team. In this role, you will lead the production of high-quality 2D drawings and 3D civil models for utilities and road networks, coordinate technical documentation across disciplines, and support the implementation of BIM standards on complex infrastructure projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Producing and developing detailed Autodesk Civil 3D models for utilities and road networks.
• Generating accurate 2D drawings (plans, elevations, sections, details, shop drawings) from Civil 3D models to required project and company standards.
• Developing and reviewing TPD planning approval drawings, including service corridors, utility routes, and road layouts.
• Creating and refining service corridor designs in coordination with engineering teams.
• Leading and guiding modelers/CAD technicians: assigning tasks, providing technical direction, and reviewing/checking their work for quality and compliance.
• Providing training and mentoring on CAD/BIM tools, Civil 3D workflows, and drafting standards as required.
• Supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of best practices, standards, and workflows for the drafting/BIM team.
• Coordinating and managing the flow of technical documents (models, drawings, specifications, calculations, data books) between project operations, engineering disciplines, site teams, and other support groups.
• Collecting, verifying, and consolidating technical information, ensuring consistency with site configuration and project requirements.
• Establish and maintain organized filing systems and computerized indexes for active engineering and BIM documents; generating reports as needed.
• Ensuring all drawings and models comply with project specifications, codes, Abu Dhabi authority standards, and Parsons’ BIM/CAD standards.
• Assisting in identifying and resolving design and documentation issues; escalating to the manager where necessary.
• Managing interfaces and changes within the roads and networks project related to utilities and corridor modifications.
• Attending project and coordination meetings to report on documentation/model status and stay current on project progress and changes.
• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with site teams, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Complying with all project policies, procedures, and BIM requirements.
• Performing other related duties assigned.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Diploma in Civil Engineering from a reputable and accredited institution.
• 7 years of experience in a similar role in infrastructure/utilities, roads, and networks.
• Extensive hands-on experience and advanced proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Strong practical experience in both 2D drafting and 3D modeling for utilities and road networks.
• Demonstrated experience with TPD planning approval drawings (service corridors, routes, and roads).
• Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate with various stakeholders.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience with Abu Dhabi standards and authority requirements for infrastructure and utilities works.
• Good understanding of BIM requirements and CAD/BIM workflows.
• Proven experience leading and coordinating a team of modelers/CAD technicians.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all organizational levels.
• Previous experience on large-scale roads and networks or BIM-enabled projects in the UAE or GCC.
