We are looking for a Senior Chemist located in Sugar Land, TX. This is a key position that will support the chemistry and product sourcing efforts in alignment with the Production Systems, Well Construction and Reservoir Performance businesses.

What You Will Do:
- Execute projects, experiments and research of critical chemical components/products with high complexity along with high impact on the business.
- Develop and transfer early-stage chemistry routes and product formulations for various new and/or existing drilling and completion applications.
- Collaborate with multiple SLB divisions and business stakeholders/functions to determine best synthetic routes and product formulations for cost effective scale up and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-division technical groups to qualify materials for their respective applications.
- Interpret experimental data and communicate results clearly to peers and project teams in written reports and oral presentations
- Provide consulting on experimental design, mentoring, and work direction for junior lab scientists
- Maintain employee safety standards, including 5S lab standards
- Demonstrate continuous improvement mindset and ability to modify processes to improve internal efficiency.
- Manage time effectively and prioritize assigned tasks to ensure delivery.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience, OR an advanced degree and a minimum of 1 year of related experience

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in industry communicating daily with internal and external customers
- Experience with the use and application of chemical additives for oilfield related products (drilling fluids, fracturing & stimulation fluids, cement, completion fluids, production chemicals and others).
- Formulation experience developing new products and improving existing products.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate within all levels of the organization
- Experience with scale-up of chemical reactions and product formulations.
- The candidate should be outgoing, creative, a self-starter, and team orientated
