By streamlining procurement, you help maintain the flow of production and innovation, enabling us to deliver life-saving medicines promptly and effectively.
ROLE SUMMARY
Negotiate contracts with suppliers for the procurement of goods, services, and supplies, and facilitate category management for ongoing operations.
Lead key strategic cross-functional and transformational projects, developing and managing supplier relationships, and seeking continuous improvement opportunities.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert for Procurement, providing guidance and leadership to colleagues.
Develop and manage plans to achieve objectives, interpret internal and external business challenges, recommend best practices for improvements, and troubleshoot roadblocks.
Lead and manage cost estimate processes for high-level scenario planning and asset-level outsourcing cost analysis.
Build strong relationships within a network of colleagues at all levels, develop long-range sourcing strategies, lead category trainings, develop standardized reporting packs, and execute Pfizer's Supplier Management process to drive continuous improvement and supplier performance.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS with 6+ years of experience or MBA/MS with 5+ years of experience or PhD/JD with 1+ year of experience or MD/DVM with any years of relevant experience
Proficiency in MS Office applications
Strong oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated understanding of procurement systems, processes, and procedures
Experience in leading and facilitating cross-functional teams
Strong analytical and negotiation skills
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
A Master’s degree coupled with significant pharmaceutical experience
Demonstrated success in achieving procurement savings goals
Strong project management skills
Experience with strategic sourcing and category management
Knowledge of supplier relationship management and risk management
Strong leadership and team-building capabilities
Work Location Assignment: On Premise
