Senior Capital Markets Middle Office Specialist

In this role, you will:

  • Monitor client accounts for compliance with Regulatory (Reg. T, FINRA 4210, Reg U) and House margin requirements, including Portfolio Margining

  • Perform daily margin processing functions such as:

  • 1). Reviewing and approving funds disbursements

  • 2). Processing journal entries and asset transfers

  • 3). Reviewing and resolving exception reports

  • Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of margin-related transactions and documentation

  • Provide high-quality support and guidance to internal Prime Brokerage team members and external clients

  • Resolve margin-related inquiries efficiently while maintaining a strong client service orientation

  • Collaborate with Sales, Trading, Compliance, IT, Operations, and Middle Office teams to support business needs and resolve issues

  • Work closely with IT and Program Management to implement margin system enhancements

  • Document new processes, policies, and procedures to support system changes and operational improvements

  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and contribute to automation and efficiency initiatives

  • Support a robust control environment by ensuring adherence to firm policies and regulatory requirements

  • Monitor margin exceptions and ensure proper close-out procedures are followed

  • Draft and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation of margin policies, procedures, and workflows

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Capital Markets industry experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 4 years of relevant experience in Financial Services, with a focus on margin and Prime Brokerage accounts

  • Strong knowledge of Broker-Dealer Operations functions with a preference for margin regulations and frameworks, including Reg. T, FINRA 4210, and Portfolio Margining

  • Experience with daily monitoring of exceptions and executing proper close-out procedures

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and complying with all firm and regulatory requirements

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule

  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening

  • Ability to work additional hours as needed

Pay Range:

  • $92,000.00 - 145,000.00 USD Annual

This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to comply with 17 CRF 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$92,000.00 - $145,000.00
