Abbey Road is the home of music-making. We’re the world’s first and most iconic recording studio, and a leader in sonic innovation, with the experience and craft to bring out the best music in any vision or idea.
For almost 94 years, we’ve welcomed the artists who have shaped music and popular culture. From the greats - The Beatles, Fela Kuti, Pink Floyd, Kate Bush, Yehudi Menuhin, Massive Attack, Amy Winehouse, Oasis, Nick Cave, Stevie Wonder and Shirley Bassey, to the legends of today - Lady Gaga, Little Simz, The Smile, Florence, Dave, Sheku Kanneh-Mason, Frank Ocean, Ezra Collective, Sam Smith, Morgan Wallen and Stormzy.
Once a nine-bedroom house, we’re now a global community of artists, experts, inventors, and engineers, whose technology and expertise can be accessed from anywhere in the world. Alongside our studios and writing spaces, we work to develop groundbreaking technology that continues to change the future of music-making. Through our learning programmes and workshops, we’re creating one-off experiences and empowering a new generation of talent.
This home has created soundtracks to nights in, nights out, heartbreaks, and first loves. Epic adventures and life-affirming stories. We’ve been home to the greatest film music of the last 45 years. From Raiders of the Lost Ark, the Star Wars and Harry Potter movies, and The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies, to Barbie, Gravity, The Shape of Water, Tar, Wakanda Forever, Frankenstein, and all the Marvel titles. Across genres, generations, and continents, Abbey Road helps music makers move the world. Come on in.
This role plays a vital part in shaping how the world experiences Abbey Road - helping us connect both our legacy of creativity and innovation, and our future vision with new generations of artists and audiences.
Every day is different
Whether planning our brand calendar; orchestrating our marketing communications, brand programmes and activations; managing campaign & content development; or reviewing and measuring impact; no two days are the same in the life of the Senior Campaign Planner.
Drive brand effectiveness
You’ll support the Director of Marketing & Creative in managing the end-to-end delivery and optimising the performance of Abbey Road’s omnichannel marketing, inspiring audiences and helping everyone understand our story, purpose and vision. You’ll lead the planning, development, execution and measurement of our work to grow audience share, engagement and profitable behaviour.
Take a strategic and integrated approach
Using your integrated marketing expertise, you’ll take a centralised view across our communications, audiences, channels, and performance to ensure all activity is insight-led, balanced, well-timed and has maximum impact. In line with brand strategy and vision, you’ll lead and manage our processes to bring innovative thinking and robust marketing & planning structure to everything we do.
Collaborate and unify
You’ll lead and manage a team of two ambitious and highly capable marketing managers and serve as a central point to consult closely with internal stakeholders (including Partnerships, Audio Products, Studio Services and Retail) on campaigns and activity, introducing marketing discipline and effectively embedding our vision.
Work across a diverse portfolio
Our business is broad: from legendary spaces and high-tech studios to world-leading creative tools and production solutions; from innovations that transform the consumer listening experience, to events and content that bring creativity, ideas and people together; from programmes that ‘give back’ and inform and inspire the next generation, to collaborations with artists, composers, producers, photographers, fashion designers, innovators and choreographers; from a global school to our own shop and online store.
Deliver excellence and alignment
You’ll work across all of these and more, ensuring optimal strategic alignment and fully integrated planning, together with the highest quality output. And you’ll support the Director of Marketing & Creative with ownership and development of ad hoc projects, activations and new initiatives. Success in this role will be measured by the growth and engagement of our audiences, the consistency and quality of our brand presence across all channels, and the effectiveness of our marketing planning and processes.
Bring creativity and innovation
You’ll bring energy, curiosity and creative confidence, inspiring those around you to think bigger and push boundaries. You’ll help us balance past, present and future; celebrate heritage and innovation; protecting what makes Abbey Road iconic while exploring new ways to reach and engage audiences.
Show leadership and influence
You’ll act as a strategic partner and thought leader within the business, bringing outside learning in, and helping to champion a culture of creativity, collaboration and high performance across all marketing activity.
Proven 360° marketing experience
In this role, you’ll manage the planning and execution of Abbey Road’s brand and marketing comms, content and activations, so you’ll have a proven track record of planning, creating and delivering highly-effective, 360° marketing campaigns, in a similar fast-paced industry.
A great multitasker
We’re a small and high-achieving team with big ambitions, so this is a hands-on role juggling multiple projects and priorities, working closely with the Director of Marketing & Creative to shape and grow our output and impact.
Creative, organised and driven
Whether leading our calendar and designing campaign plans, maximising the potential of an activation, serving as brand guardian, devising a new content series, presenting an idea to artist management, developing the team, or researching & writing compelling copy and designing brilliant digital assets, you’ll need to be highly organised with the motivation to make a difference.
Strategic and analytical balance
You’ve got great creative instincts, but you combine this with strategic clarity and rigour, using insight and analysis to help unlock brilliant ideas.
People development
You’re a leader who knows how to get the best out of people, developing, motivating and empowering creative teams.
Communication and stakeholder management
You’re a confident communicator who can build trust and influence across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
