SmartStream Composer is a software component within the HP SmartStream suite that converts templates and variable data created in tools like SmartStream Designer into ready-to-print, personalized PDF files. It's designed to automate and scale the process of creating customized print products, integrating with HP Indigo and PageWide Web Press workflows for increased productivity. Essentially, it handles the "composition" and "imposition" of variable data into print-ready files for high-volume, high-value job .

We are looking for a skilled and motivated C++ Developer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance software solutions for SmartStream Composer.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain C++ applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and architecture to deliver high-quality features
• Maintain and improve existing codebases, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code
• Debug and resolve complex technical issues

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in C++ development
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience with multithreading, memory management, and performance optimization
• Familiarity with development tools such as Visual Studio, Git, and debugging tools
• Experience working on large-scale or complex software systems
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Excellent command of the English language
• Self-Learner
• Long term commitment to the team

Nice to Have

• Experience with cross-platform development (Windows/Linux/macOS)
• Experience developing user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Knowledge of build systems and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Xcode, SourceTree
