Overview
Justerini & Brooks is seeking an experienced and highly organised Senior Buyer to join the team on a six-month fixed term contract. This is a pivotal role within the buying function, responsible for maintaining and developing key supplier relationships while ensuring the seamless creation and execution of compelling commercial offers.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and develop relationships with a portfolio of international suppliers, acting as a primary point of contact and ambassador for Justerini & Brooks.
Oversee buying responsibilities across key regions.
Collaborate with suppliers to source wines that align with the company’s quality standards and commercial objectives.
Create, plan, and execute customer offers, ensuring they are commercially compelling and aligned with brand positioning.
Write and proofread offer copy to a consistently high editorial standard, maintaining the tone and authority expected of Justerini & Brooks.
Work closely with internal teams including Sales, Marketing, Logistics, and Finance to ensure smooth execution of campaigns and stock management.
Monitor market trends, pricing, and competitor activity to inform buying decisions and offer strategy.
Maintain accurate records and ensure all administrative processes are handled efficiently and with attention to detail.
Key Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a buying role within the wine trade, with strong product knowledge across key European and New World regions.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce polished, engaging, and accurate offer copy.
High level of attention to detail, particularly in proofreading and commercial accuracy.
Confident interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally.
Experience working cross-functionally, with a collaborative and problem-solving approach.
Commercial awareness and the ability to balance quality, value, and brand positioning.
Desirable
French and other language skills would be advantageous, though not essential.

Professional, personable, and credible, with the ability to represent the business with authority.
A proactive and adaptable attitude, able to step into a fast-paced role and quickly make valuable contributions.

Duration: 6 months (family leave cover)
