Position Summary

Resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. May assist more junior staff members with aspects of their job. Mainly works on supply chain challenges of diverse scope for Direct materials. Able to assess and advise other functions on improvements and risks. Applies best practices and knowledge of internal/external business challenges to improve products, processes or services.


Position Responsibilities


· Supports electronic Sourcing events in Ariba
· Handles day to day transactions in SAP
· Participates in standard contract negotiation strategy and development
· Negotiates at actual and forecast demand level e.g. future buy volume, rebates, price breaks
· Contribute ideas and analysis to Manager to develop Procurement strategy and cost saving initiatives
· Drives and monitors short term and long-term plans with Suppliers
· Performs supplier and market research from a variety of sources
· Assists in the evaluation and selection of new suppliers
· Applies experience of dealing with Customers and Suppliers to help inform and support strategy development and supplier negotiations
· Manages non-strategic and strategic Direct supplier with low to medium complexity parts
· Provides qualitative and quantitative supplier feedback in addition to scorecard to ensure supplier performance against KPI
· Demonstrates ability to combine data from multiple sources in order to draw conclusions and apply when making decisions
· Effectively analyzes the probability, control and impact of identified risks
· Identifies and examines alternative courses of action before choosing an approach
· Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills
· Identifies opportunities for improvement and implements compliant solutions

Position Requirements


· Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience
· A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization
· Able to provide sourcing recommendations that are backed up with facts and data
· Able to analyze data and identify solutions based upon facts and data
· Able to co-ordinate and adjust own work tasks with others in order to meet deadlines
· Resolves short - medium term issues to meet deadlines
· Self-motivated, yet knows when to seek assistance from more senior procurement management
· Willing and able to adjust to multiple and changing work demands
