Senior Business Systems Analyst

CI Global Asset Management Team is currently seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our Information Technology team. In this role, the successful candidate is expected to gather and document requirements and act as liaison between IT and Business Stakeholders, lead workshops between multiple IT departments and create/track JIRA stories for development.

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

  • Elicit, analyze, and understand business and data requirements to deliver comprehensive solutions to respective business units
  • Work closely with stakeholders to assess the current and future states and perform detailed gap analyses. Propose, and gain agreement on solutions.
  • Set stakeholder expectations appropriately.
  • Provide expert guidance with hands-on help where required to solve complex and challenging business problems to the satisfaction of key stakeholders.
  • Participate in project planning, estimation, scope definition, and risk assessment.
  • Use advanced SQL skills to investigate data issues, perform root-cause analysis, validate system behaviour, and support data mapping activities.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance team in the definition of test cases related to the business requirements and coordinate User Acceptance Testing
  • Subject matter expert on system functionality for projects assigned

WHAT YOU WILL BRING 

  • Minimum 5 years of Business Systems Analyst experience in IT within the Canadian financial services industry.
  • Proven experience delivering complex technology projects involving investment products or wealth management platforms.
  • Advanced SQL skills (required) with the ability to query data, perform analysis, and validate system behaviour.
  • Strong understanding of system architecture concepts, data flows, integrations, and APIs.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian investment products, regulatory requirements, and back-office processing.
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to present information clearly to both business and technical audiences.
  • Strong facilitation, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Intellectual curiosity, an eagerness to learn
  • Effective team player with a collaborative attitude and agile mindset
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodology, both Agile and Waterfall

This opportunity is for an existing vacancy with the company. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $69,500 - $119,500. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a bonus program. In addition, The Company offers a variety of benefits to eligible employees, including health insurance coverage, wellness programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education-related programs, paid holidays and vacation time, and many others. Many of these benefits are subsidized or fully paid for by the company.

This role follows our inoffice work model and requires employees to be onsite four days per week to support collaboration and business needs.
