Senior Business Development Manager, North Asia Outbound (Operational Excellence)

Hong Kong; Shanghai Full Time

What we do

We are looking for a strategic and operationally excellent leader to join our fast-growing outbound business for North Asia. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for building a robust infrastructure and establishing a Centre of Excellence (CoE) to empower our commercial teams. Your mission is to equip them with the tools, processes, and innovative resources needed to accelerate the growth of our North Asia outbound business, without compromising on operational excellence or our company culture. This person will excel at partnering with global cross-functional stakeholders to secure support and resources for our North Asia initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a systems-thinker and a builder—with a proven ability to deconstruct complex problems, identify root causes, and land scalable solutions through innovation, process optimization, and technology. You will be motivated by enabling the success of others and creating the foundation for sustainable, long-term growth.

You must thrive in a complex, global environment, possess outstanding business acumen, and have the leadership skills to influence without direct authority.

What you'll do

  • Build the Foundation: Design, implement, and lead a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for North Asia Outbound, creating standardized processes, playbooks, and best practices for the commercial teams.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Identify key operational bottlenecks and strategic gaps hindering growth; develop and land innovative, technology-driven solutions to solve complex problems.
  • Secure Global Alignment: Proactively collaborate with a wide range of internal stakeholders globally (e.g., Product, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, Finance) to advocate for and secure the necessary resources, tools, and support for North Asia outbound customers and initiatives.
  • Enable Commercial Success: Develop training programs, sales tools, market intelligence reports, and competitive analysis to directly empower the sales and business development teams to perform more effectively and efficiently.
  • Champion Innovation: Spearhead projects that leverage technology and data analytics to improve campaign execution, client onboarding, and overall service delivery for outbound advertising.
  • Measure & Optimize: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the CoE and the outbound function, consistently tracking impact and iterating on strategies to maximize effectiveness.
  • Bridge Communication: Serve as a key liaison, ensuring seamless communication and strategic alignment between North Asia outbound teams and global headquarters and functional leads.

Who you are

  • 5+ years of experience in operational roles, business strategy, program management, or consulting within the online advertising, marketing technology, or related digital industries.
  • Proven experience in building programs, centers of excellence, or scaling operations, preferably in a commercial or sales enablement context. Experience with outbound or international business is a significant plus.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, break down complex challenges, and drive projects to completion through influence and collaboration.
  • Strong stakeholder management expertise; experience working with and securing buy-in from senior leadership and cross-functional teams across different regions and time zones.
  • Understanding of the North Asia digital advertising landscape, particularly the ecosystem supporting brands expanding globally (knowledge of China market is highly valuable).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in using data to inform decisions and measure success.
  • A proactive, self-starter attitude with the ability to operate strategically while being hands-on in execution.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean is a strong advantage.
