About the role:
As the Business Development Executive, you will support our new logo sellers in acquiring new clients. This role is crucial in driving Ensono's growth by identifying and nurturing potential business opportunities. You will operate at the intersection of strategy design and execution — translating organisational goals into actionable BD initiatives, conducting research, and supporting partnership and expansion models with precision. Unlike a BDR role focused solely on prospecting, this role analysis markets, structures proposals, and co-pilots opportunity development alongside senior BD leaders. As the ideal candidate, you will have a strong background in business development, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with sales teams to achieve strategic goals and drive net-new logo opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Support New Logo Sellers: Partner with new logo sellers to identify, engage, and qualify potential clients, providing strategic insights to strengthen sales execution.
- Lead Generation & Pipeline Development: Build a high-quality pipeline through targeted outreach across multiple channels, ensuring opportunities align with Ensono’s offerings.
- Market & Whitespace Research: Conduct detailed research on industries, competitors, and market trends to identify whitespace opportunities and inform go-to-market focus.
- Account Prioritisation (TAL Management): Maintain and continually refine prioritised account lists based on market intelligence, seller feedback, and prospecting progress.
- Sales Motion & Conversion Insights: Analyse sales performance and engagement data to refine messaging, outreach tactics, and improve conversion outcomes.
- Client & Partner Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders to position Ensono as a trusted partner.
- Opportunity & Partnership Support: Coordinate discovery sessions, follow-ups, content preparation, and stakeholder management for priority opportunities.
- Proposal & Pitch Support: Contribute to customised proposal materials, partnership decks, and proactive pitches.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure aligned and impactful go-to-market execution.
- CRM & Process Optimisation: Improve CRM data quality, reporting accuracy, and workflow discipline to accelerate BD cycles and enhance pipeline visibility.
- Performance & Impact Tracking: Track pipeline creation, progression, market expansion activity, and efficiency improvements to drive continuous improvement.
What you will being to Ensono
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in business development, sales, or sales support within the IT/managed services industry.
- Track record of supporting successful client acquisition and building net-new pipeline.
- Experience analysing sales performance and market data to inform BD strategy and improve conversion.
- Ability to translate research and market intelligence into actionable go-to-market plays.
- Experience supporting partnership development and structured pursuit cycles.
- Strong understanding of managed services, cloud solutions, and IT infrastructure.
- Exceptional communication, proposal creation, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
- Ability to manage CRM hygiene and support process improvements to accelerate BD effectiveness.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify whitespace opportunities and influence decision-making.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to operate independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving environment.
- Willingness to travel when needed for client and stakeholder engagement.
- This role is Hybrid with 2 days a week in our London office.
