WHAT'S THE OPPORTUNITY?

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Business Analyst to join the Compliance Technology Team at RBC. In this role, you will act as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that business needs are translated into effective technical solutions. You will lead the analysis, design, and implementation of complex business processes, driving innovation and efficiency across the organization.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Facilitate and document collaborative workshops and sessions with diverse business stakeholder groups to drive requirements elicitation, analysis, and validation.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, offering actionable insights and recommendations to support data-driven decision-making and strategic initiatives.

  • Assist the Product Owner in leading various Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, backlog refinement) and prioritize user stories by leveraging techniques to align with business objectives.

  • Develop and maintain detailed and comprehensive documentation, including business process models, workflows, use cases, and functional specifications.

  • Ensure alignment of technical solutions with business objectives, organizational strategies, and industry best practices.

  • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by coordinating with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business needs.

  • Contribute to data model design and system architecture decisions, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and alignment with technical requirements.

  • Translate business needs, processes, and procedures into workable system designs, and articulate specific software requirements by collaborating with technology experts and business stakeholders.

  • Provide ongoing support to developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Must have's:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst or similar role in a financial services or technology environment

  • Expertise in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, requirements documentation using tools like Jira and Confluence

  • Experience working with UX design teams to create user-friendly interfaces

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including communication (written and verbal) with the ability to build relationships among a diverse set of stakeholders

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently to manage competing priorities and deliver results

  • Strong presentation and training skills to effectively communicate product features and benefits to end users

  • Excellent data analysis skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, e.g. Excel & PowerPoint
