The opportunity
The Global Workplace Technology (GWT) plays a critical role in shaping and delivering modern workplace solutions that drive employee productivity and collaboration at enterprise scale. The role focuses on understanding business and technical requirements and owns the requirements baseline and success measures, working directly with engineering teams within GWT and across Technology Infrastructure (TI) to influence solution approaches and sequencing while engineering retain technical decision authority. It ensures the successful delivery, business readiness, and global adoption of solutions within the end-user technology portfolio.
The portfolio spans desktop and mobile platforms and their management technologies, M365 productivity and collaboration services, enterprise-grade AI tools such as Copilot and ChatGPT, and cross-functional contributions to major initiatives in areas like Information and Cyber Security, Cloud, and within OTPP’s product teams. The role operates with autonomy to align stakeholders, de-risk delivery, and drive measurable outcomes (adoption, employee experience/DEX, risk reduction, and total cost of ownership).
Who you'll work with
This is an opportunity to influence how employees experience technology day-to-day by orchestrating business readiness, change, and benefits realization, supporting the modernization and transformation of our digital workplace at scale.
What you'll do
Requirements & Value Definition
Lead discovery with business and technical stakeholders; own the requirements baseline, non-functional needs (privacy, compliance, supportability), and success metrics (adoption, EX/DEX, risk reduction, TCO/ROI).
Produce option analyses and trade-off narratives that influence engineering choices without owning technical selection.
Portfolio Orchestration & Sequencing
Coordinate multi-team sequencing across desktop, mobile/MDM, M365, and AI initiatives; align quarterly plans and dependencies with product/engineering roadmaps.
Maintain an integrated view of scope, risks, and cross-program impacts; drive timely decisions by presenting clear business implications.
Delivery Influence & Risk Management
Serve as the escalation point for ambiguous requirements; resolve blockers via rapid stakeholder alignment.
Shape go/no-go recommendations at stage gates by synthesizing risk, readiness, and value; technical go-live decisions remains with Engineering.
Business Readiness, Change & Adoption
Own the business-readiness plan (communications, training, pilot strategy, UAT approach, support model) for global deployments.
Chair readiness checkpoints and track adoption outcomes; adjust levers (communications, training, policy tweaks) to meet targets.
Benefits Realization & Metrics
Define and track portfolio KPIs: adoption %, DEX scores, incident and ticket volumes, time-to-fulfill, upgrade/patch compliance, change success rate, TCO and cost avoidance.
Run post-implementation reviews; capture learnings into repeatable playbooks.
Governance, Controls & Compliance
Ensure requirements embed security, privacy, and regulatory controls (e.g., DLP, device compliance, access policies) and that residual risks are documented and mitigated.
Align with Architecture/Engineering on standards; influence guardrails and patterns through data and risk-impact framing.
Vendor & Commercial Influence
Support RFPs/SOWs with outcome-based requirements and measurable acceptance criteria; partner with Procurement to evaluate proposals against business value and user outcomes.
Track vendor SLAs and outcomes; escalate performance issues with evidence and impact analysis.
Cross-Enterprise Collaboration
Act as GWT’s business interface into enterprise programs (e.g., Zero Trust initiatives, Cloud platform changes) to safeguard end-user experience and continuity.
What you'll need
8–10+ years in digital workplace / end-user technology / technology delivery roles (enterprise scale).
Strong track record shaping requirements and landing global rollouts across desktop, mobile/MDM, and M365; exposure to AI productivity tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) is an asset.
Demonstrated portfolio-level influence: aligning multi-team roadmaps, managing dependencies, and driving measurable adoption and experience outcomes.
Excellent facilitation and executive communication; skilled at framing trade-offs with data (risk, cost, and value).
Familiarity with agile/hybrid delivery, change/adoption, and IT service frameworks (e.g., ITIL). Experience collaborating with Security/Privacy and Procurement on controls and commercials.
