Senior Business Analyst

We are looking for Senior Business Analyst to join our team.

 

About the Role

Join us as a Senior Business Analyst and be at the forefront of a major digital transformation in the public sector. This is a unique opportunity to shape how one of Germany’s largest employment agencies interacts with tens of thousands of users, making a real societal impact.

You will own the bridge between business and delivery, guiding the team through strategic decisions, product planning, and execution. You’ll help onboard agency teams, streamline processes, and enable innovative features like voice-to-text applications and an internal chatbot that improves user support. Basic German is a plus, but your expertise in strategy and delivery matters most.

The project is entering a pivotal phase, with a major go-live planned for mid-February and a target audience of 75,000 users. User onboarding is currently underway, with over 5,000 users already connected and 15,000–20,000 expected to be active by year-end. While the system is stable, we anticipate increased activity and new challenges in January, February, and after the go-live.

The upcoming holiday season will be used strategically to:

• Onboard additional user groups
• Resolve performance issues
• Close open tickets
• Ensure the platform is fully prepared for next year’s rapid scale-up

A key component of the initiative is the development of an internal, generic chatbot, designed to enhance user support and streamline operations across the agency.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a bridge between stakeholders and delivery teams, aligning strategy, scope, resources, and delivery
• Support team onboarding and smooth adoption of the platform
• Translate business needs into actionable requirements for development teams
• Manage backlog, features, iterations, and resources
• Lead workshops and discovery sessions to clarify priorities
• Monitor risks, dependencies, and progress, escalating when needed
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between tech, design, QA, and business teams
• Drive communication, reporting, and decision-making, while fostering a healthy, motivated team culture

 

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in Business Analysis, or similar roles, ideally on large-scale software projects
• Strong product mindset and experience managing backlog, feature planning, iteration cycles, and prioritization
• Skilled in discovery, workshops, and structured requirements gathering
• Experience translating complex business requirements into functional specifications for development teams
• Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities; able to manage dependencies, risks, and cross-team communication
• Able to drive continuous business reviews and monitor client satisfaction

 

Nice to have:

• Experience in public-sector or government digital transformation projects (compliance, governance, large-scale rollouts)
• Basic German language skills to support team onboarding and future customer projects
