Senior Business Analyst

A Senior Salesforce Order-to-Cash (O2C) Business Analyst with Workday experience acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs for the O2C cycle into technical requirements for both Salesforce and Workday platforms. A key aspect of the role is ensuring a seamless, automated flow from sales opportunity in Salesforce to billing and revenue recognition in Workday.  

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

Core responsibilities 

  • Requirements gathering and analysis: Leading discovery sessions with sales, finance, and commercial operations teams to define business requirements and map out the order-to-cash process and functional flows. 
  • Process optimization: Identifying inefficiencies and gaps in existing business processes to drive business process optimization and design new, scalable workflows. 
  • System design and configuration: Documenting requirements to enable technical teams to design scalable solutions for the O2C process using Salesforce CRM (e.g., Revenue Cloud/CPQ) and ensuring seamless integration with Workday for billing and finance operations. 
  • Integration management: Overseeing and managing the integration between Salesforce and Workday, ensuring data integrity and accurate information flow from opportunity to order to cash. 
  • Stakeholder communication: Providing regular status updates on projects and acting as a consultant to guide business stakeholders toward the right solutions. 
  • User acceptance testing (UAT): Facilitating UAT to ensure the delivered solutions meet business expectations and deliver the intended value. 
  • Change management and training: Supporting documentation and the rollout of new processes by helping with change management, training, and adoption strategies.  

Required skills and experience 

  • Business process knowledge: Expert-level knowledge of the end-to-end order-to-cash process, including quoting, order management, billing, collections, and revenue recognition. 
  • Technical skills: Deep experience with the Salesforce platform, particularly in the CPQ, Order-to-Cash, and integration with Workday. Knowledge with integration platforms (like Mulesoft, Fivetran or Informatica) is nice to have. 
  • Workday experience: Experience with Workday Finance, specifically related to how billing, revenue recognition, and financial reporting integrate with CRM systems like Salesforce. 
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively translate complex business needs for technical teams and communicate project status to business stakeholders. 
  • Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to design scalable solutions and troubleshoot issues that arise during implementation. 
  • Project management: Experience working in an Agile methodology and managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.  
  • Process Optimization: Recognize and address interdependencies within business processes to optimize overall efficiency. 
  • Technical & Business Guidance: Work with business and technical team to ensure solution design and implementation adhere to business requirements. 
  • Quality Assurance & Best Practices: Apply industry-standard project methodologies, coding standards, and best practices for system implementation and continuous improvement. 

An ideal candidate will have the following: 

  • Experience (5-7 years) A bachelor’s degree in business management, Computer Science or a closely related field is highly desirable. 
  • Strong emphasis on experience working with projects and programs related to Salesforce Order to Cash and CPQ. 
  • Experience working with Salesforce to Workday integration with order management, billing, revenue recognition and financial reporting (preferred). 
  • Experience in working with Metering, Continuous Integration for Salesforce, particularly having usage-based pricing or metering solutions (good to have). 
  • Problem Solving & Communication: Must have excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills. Collaboration skills with the ability to translate complex business problems into clear technical requirements, influence stakeholders and drive adoption are essential for this role. 
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with MS word, MS Excel/spreadsheet, business process modelling tools are important. Experience working with configuration/project management tools such as Jira, ZenHub etc. Knowledge of database management, reporting or BI tools are good to have.  
  • Certifications: Salesforce Business Analyst Certification strongly preferred.

Compensation: GLG is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. Certain roles may also be eligible for incentive compensation.

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this role is:
$133,200$160,000 USD
