About the role
As Senior Building Services Manager, you will lead the management of critical building services and infrastructure across CommBank’s domestic and international property portfolio. This includes trading floors, disaster recovery sites and communications rooms, ensuring high availability, reliability and compliance across complex environments.

You will act as a subject matter expert for critical services, providing engineering advice, lifecycle asset management, and escalation support while partnering closely with Facilities Managers, Project Managers and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the operation and lifecycle management of critical engineering services and infrastructure.

  • Develop and maintain design and operational standards for critical and commercial environments.

  • Oversee preventive maintenance programs, incident management and performance reporting.

  • Provide engineering advice, business cases and cost–benefit analysis to senior stakeholders.

  • Manage contractors and service providers in line with property and procurement strategies.

  • Support business continuity through on‑call availability and out‑of‑hours incident response.

  • Manage supplier personnel such as technical facilities managers supporting the building services.

About you
You are an experienced building services professional with strong stakeholder engagement skills and a commercial mindset. You bring deep technical expertise, sound judgement and the ability to manage risk in mission‑critical environments.

What you’ll bring

  • 7+ years’ experience in building services engineering or critical infrastructure management.

  • Strong expertise in UPS, generators, CRAC units, fire systems and critical environments.

  • Proven contract, vendor and incident management experience.

  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Excellent communication, influencing and problem‑solving skills.
