Hourly pay rate is $22.40 - $33.56/hour. The hourly rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience. In addition to the hourly range identified herein, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $24,000.00.
The Trade Desk Broker (TDB) will be responsible for incremental business growth for their assigned targeted areas. The TDB will proactively connect clients with inventory to meet their business needs and increase buyer engagement across Manheim’s Digital Platforms. This is done by proactively curating a list of active vehicles for individual clients based on their search preferences and buying history. The TDB will educate customers on Offsite solutions product and services and actively seek opportunities to grow the relationship.
The Trade Desk Broker will partner with the Trade Desk Consultant, Wholesale Specialist, and Manheim Mobile Inspections teams to develop relationships with dealers and identify their needs. The TDB is also responsible for demonstrating a commitment to safety and a mindset of continuous improvement. The TDB also partners with key stakeholders to stay abreast of dealer needs, market trends, and marketplace conditions. This role requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while consistently meeting deadlines.
Primary Duties, Key Responsibilities
- Serves as a marketplace funnel, facilitating resolution of client requirements and expectations for inventory acquisition by coordinating with Trade Desk Supervisors/Managers and Trade Desk Consultants.
- Utilize various tools and platforms to identify units that match buyers’ inventory needs and contact clients to increase buyer engagement in Digital inventory.
- Proactively connect with clients to develop and strengthen relationships over the phone and online through planned contact and meetings.
- Collaborate with Leadership and Digital stakeholders and identify opportunities to improve platform engagement, drive client satisfaction, and increase conversion rate, retention value, and revenue.
- Serves as an interface to improve customer experience and productivity by collecting, analyzing, identifying, and presenting information.
- Utilizes Salesforce.com for reporting, lead input, and customer performance reviews.
- Educate and inform customers of specific opportunities that match buying/selling habits.
- Proactively educates dealers on the Manheim Express application and value proposition.
- Works directly with customers onsite, via email & phone to ensure expectations are met and service issues are resolved.
- Demonstrates professionalism and sincere appreciation for the business relationships that have been established amongst the dealers and Manheim.
- Function as a solid team player and work closely with teammates, field sales, and customer care to create a superior customer experience.
- Work with the manager to ensure a consistent and effective online and in-lane customer experience, appropriate transaction processing, high customer satisfaction, and service levels.
- Visibly demonstrates safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence. This role requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while consistently meeting deadlines.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Required Experience & Specialized Knowledge, and Skills
- HS Diploma or GED and 5 years' experience.
- 3+ years of dealership or wholesale experience strongly preferred. Previous experience in a sales role is desired.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
- Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to engage customers in a consultative manner and effectively recommend additional products and services
- Ability to work in a high-performance, fast-paced team environment.
- Solid computer skills, including the ability to use the Internet and MS Office effectively.
- Ability to adapt to and work effectively within a constantly changing environment.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills required.
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks; manual dexterity.
- Vision abilities required include close, distance, and depth perception.
