We are seeking an experienced Senior Biotechnologist with proven large-scale fermentation expertise to join our crucial 2K-liter bioreactor team. This role requires deep technical knowledge in upstream bioprocessing, cGMP compliance, and the ability to operate, monitor, and troubleshoot complex fermentation campaigns. You will be a key technical resource, ensuring the timely and high-quality manufacture of therapeutic proteins.
Schedule:
Shift: Rotational Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Pattern: 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off (repeating cycle)
Weekend shifts include additional pay.

What you'll do:
Fermentation Operations: Lead the execution of large-scale fermentation and cell culture campaigns, including seed train expansion, inoculation, monitoring, and harvesting within 2K-liter bioreactors.
Process Monitoring & Control: Independently operate, monitor, and troubleshoot bioreactor control systems, sensors, and pumps to maintain optimal process parameters.
Aseptic Technique & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to aseptic techniques and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) throughout all phases of upstream production.
Cleaning & Sterilization: Execute cleaning-in-place (CIP) and sterilization-in-place (SIP) procedures for large-scale bioreactors and associated process equipment.
Troubleshooting & Investigations: Provide first-line technical troubleshooting for equipment malfunctions and process deviations. Support or initiate minor deviation investigations as required.
Documentation & Training: Maintain meticulous records by documenting all production activities according to Good Documentation Practices (GDP). May assist in training and mentoring junior associates on core fermentation processes.
What we're looking for:
Education: A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent experience; an AS/BS in a science-related field is preferred.
Experience: 3+ years of direct, hands-on experience in upstream bioprocessing within a GMP manufacturing environment.
Technical Expertise: Proven, in-depth experience with the operation and control of large-scale bioreactors (200L scale or greater), specifically focused on fermentation processes.
Compliance: Strong working knowledge of cGMP, GDP, and aseptic processing principles.
Skills: Excellent technical troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
