As a Senior Biostatistician I at ICON, you will design and analyse clinical trials, interpreting complex medical data, and contribute to the advancement of innovative treatments and therapies.

What You Will Do:

You will lead on biostatistics tasks requiring technical depth, with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ability to perform Study Statistician role with minimal supervision

    •  Demonstrates strong statistical expertise with a good understanding of more complex design of experiments and inference methodologies (where applicable awareness / knowledge of Bayesian, Futility & Predictive Inference, Estimands, Missing Data etc.)

    • Where required, ability to actively participate in matrix team meetings

    Under supervision:

    •  Supports design, analysis and interpretation, uses a wide range of statistical approaches and/or applicable software to explore options

    •  Authors analysis plans and prepares statistical inputs to key documents and presentation materials

    •  Contributes to the development of statistical strategy at a study-level, which may be shared with stakeholders

    •   Anticipates problems related to assigned work or areas of expertise and able to implement solutions, proactively seeking input from supervisor/manager

    •   Applies standard processes to tasks, ensuring that deliverables are accurate, high quality and met according to agreed timelines

    •   Extensive working knowledge of GxP, ICH, internal processes and external regulations (as applicable)

    •   Quality Control (QC) of other people's work under supervision

    •  Demonstrated effectiveness in both oral and written communications, able to express ideas and incorporate feedback to produce a completed quality deliverable

    • Able to explain technical approaches to non-technical colleagues/settings

    •  Works under supervision on multi-disciplinary teams

Your Profile:

You will have a strong foundation in biostatistics, with the experience to work independently and guide others.

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Master's degree or Ph.D in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field with 5 or more years of biostatistical experience.
  • Strong knowledge of multiple statistical and therapeutic areas, the drug development process, and statistical programming practices and procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
