Senior Benefits Analyst

Every team member at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital plays a critical role in achieving the mission! We need a highly analytical and detailed individual who will be responsible for reviewing, proposing, implementing, and maintaining competitive, cost-effective, and legally compliant benefit programs. This role will also develop, communicate, and ensure application of policies and programs. This critical role reviews benefit costs analysis and provides resolution of issues escalated from other Benefits team members in a high touch environment.

A successful candidate in this role will possess experience leading Human Resources and/or Benefits projects. Strong database management, vendor management and communication skills are a must, which includes the ability to simplify, summarize and process redesign complicated processes, systems, and issues. You must be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and operate effectively in a collaborative, customer-oriented environment where you will provide solutions with a consultative approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Researches, analyzes, and develops benefit policies and procedures
  • Evaluates policies for competitiveness and cost/employee impact
  • Conducts internal audits verifying compliance with policy
  • Recommends options for required policy changes and/or corrections
  • Develops and maintains process manual for administration of all benefit programs
  • Analyzes current and new benefit programs, policies, and strategies by applying statistical methodologies to determine needs, costs, and benefits. Serves as project manager for large-scale projects within the department
  • Implements, monitors, and evaluates effectiveness and goal achievement of benefit programs
  • Prepares and analyzes Request for Proposals
  • Participates in due diligence and vendor performance

Minimum Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or related field required

Minimum Experience:

  • Four years of professional level experience in Human Resources, with at least two years experience with benefits and/or HR information systems preferably at St. Jude

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification:

  • CBP, CEBS, or PHR/SPHR certification preferred

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $70,720 - $126,880 per year for the role of Senior Benefits Analyst.
