Advanced Manufacturing Technology team is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to drive innovation in automation and capital equipment deployment across our manufacturing plants. This is a high-impact role where you’ll lead automation projects that shape the sustainable future of our production lines—both current and next-generation.

As the lead engineer on automation initiatives, you’ll collaborate with internal plant teams and external suppliers to bring cutting-edge manufacturing solutions from concept to completion.

Your Role:

Innovation & Development

  • Conceive, validate, and recommend new capital equipment and processes to elevate Donaldson’s global manufacturing leadership.
  • Research and evaluate emerging manufacturing technologies new to Donaldson.
  • Lead ideation and brainstorming sessions during early equipment development phases.

Project Leadership

  • Author detailed equipment specifications for production and proof-of-concept applications.
  • Source and negotiate with machine suppliers using your technical documentation.
  • Oversee equipment design, build, and acceptance testing to ensure performance success.

Execution & Collaboration

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and supplier activities to meet project timelines and budgets.
  • Apply lean manufacturing and statistical process control techniques to improve capability.
  • Champion safety and compliance by integrating industry standards into automation deployments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in process engineering and equipment development.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approx. 15%).
  • English on communicative level, Czech language is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong cross-functional communication and vendor management skills.
  • Experience with ISO9001and Machine Directive 2006/42/EC.
  • Experience with custom equipment and automation technologies.
