Senior Automation Engineer, Actimize (Java, AWS)

India - Pune Full Time

At NiCE, we don’t limit our challenges. We challenge our limits. Always. We’re ambitious. We’re game changers. And we play to win. We set the highest standards and execute beyond them. And if you’re like us, we can offer you the ultimate career opportunity that will light a fire within you.

So, what’s the role all about?

As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in safeguarding the quality of our Analytics platform that powers Anti-Money Laundering (AML), fraud detection, and financial crime prevention solutions. You will partner closely with architects, engineers, product managers, and third‑party vendors to understand system behavior end‑to‑end and translate it into comprehensive test strategies, automation suites, and regression packs. Working in an Agile environment, you will drive test automation, improve test coverage, and ensure our cloud‑hosted solutions on AWS meet the highest reliability, performance, and compliance standards.

How will you make an impact?

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, product managers, and vendors to understand high‑level design, cross‑interface impacts, and non‑functional requirements.
  • Translate functional and non‑functional requirements into detailed test strategies, test scenarios, test cases, and regression suites.
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated tests and frameworks (UI, API, data, and performance) to maximize coverage and reduce manual effort.
  • Ensure overall product health and operational quality by validating reliability, scalability, performance, and security aspects of the Analytics platform.
  • Understand data transformation and integration flows across systems to design robust test scenarios for structured and unstructured data.
  • Maintain and enhance the automation framework, ensuring it leverages best‑of‑breed technologies and open‑source tools.
  • Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines to enable frequent, reliable regression execution.
  • Use monitoring and logging tools to analyze issues, validate fixes, and prevent regressions.
  • Conduct internal product demos, support stakeholder demo activities, and clearly communicate test results and quality risks.
  • Define and promote QA best practices, standards, and documentation to continuously raise the quality bar.

Have you got what it takes?

  • Have 5–8 years of experience in software testing, with strong exposure to test design, execution, and reporting.
  • Bring solid experience testing applications in an AWS (or similar cloud) ecosystem using API mock‑ups, JMeter, and scripting.
  • Are hands‑on with test automation using Java or Python and experienced in building/maintaining automation frameworks.
  • Have practical experience with Cucumber, Selenium, and/or Playwright and running automated regression packs from CI/CD pipelines.
  • Are comfortable using Jira/X‑Ray for test management and Splunk (or similar tools) for analysis and reporting.
  • Can independently create Test Strategies, Test Scenarios, and drive their execution end‑to‑end.
  • Understand enterprise software architectures, integrations, and how applications are deployed and operated on the cloud.
  • Communicate clearly in English and can explain quality risks, defects, and trade‑offs to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem‑solving, and debugging skills.
  • Work effectively as a team player, showing ownership, creativity, assertiveness, and flexibility in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Have exposure to Finance/Fraud/Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) domains.

You will have an advantage if you also have:

  • Experience working in Agile teams with user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature prioritization.
  • Background in cloud‑based delivery models such as SaaS and familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
  • Experience designing test approaches for high‑volume data/analytics or big data systems.
  • Knowledge of additional test tools or frameworks for performance, security, or reliability testing.
  • Prior product experience in financial crime, risk, or compliance solution
