About the Role:

The Mid-Cap Investment Banking (MCIB) group within Corporate and Investment Banking is seeking a Senior Securities Research Specialist at P3 level to join its Bangalore office with corporate title as Senior Assistant Vice President. 

Analysts have an unparalleled opportunity to work with senior NY bankers, in small project teams.

Analysts will support bankers on preparing pitch books for client meetings

In the role, you will:

  • Prepare pitch books, industry overviews, detailed company profiles, management biographies, brokers’ outlook, share price performance, evolution of industry/peers’ valuation multiples, possible buyer/seller opportunities
  • Work on comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, company/M&A screening and newsletter preparation
  • Work on work products including Shareholder Momentum, Shareholder Base, Analysis at Various Prices (AVP), Acquisition Capacity, Rating Analysis, Exchange Rate Analysis and Contribution Analysis, LBO Model
  • Work independently on complex projects and deliver high quality projects
  • Effectively communicate with key stakeholders in the US

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Securities Research experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • MBA / CA (CFA certification would be an added advantage)
  • 4+ yrs of experience  in preparing pitch books, industry overviews, detailed company profiles, management biographies, brokers’ outlook, share price performance, evolution of industry/peers’ valuation multiples, possible buyer/seller opportunities

Job Expectations:

  • Responsibilities include training and guiding junior and new analysts, resolving their project-related queries and performing quality checks on client deliverables
  • May act as subject matter expert and sounding board for junior resources in the team
  • To support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation, and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Strong financial modeling and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Familiar with US company filings and accounting standards
