How you’ll make an impact
Leverage your expertise in complex commercial and industrial appraisals to help mitigate credit risk by estimating security values that support lending and special credit decisions.
As a Senior Appraiser, you’ll regularly complete and review complex valuations and assess environmental risk for large and sophisticated assets. Your strong appraisal judgment and environmental risk expertise will enable you to support FCC lending, loan administration and special credit teams, while providing guidance and coaching to colleagues.

What you’ll do
Complete and review complex valuations for commercial and industrial real and personal property
Conduct site inspections and prepare valuation reports to support new lending, loan administration and special credit requests
Assess, review and validate environmental risks and propose mitigation solutions related to FCC security
Provide expertise and guidance on valuation practices, environmental risk policies and processes
Build and maintain relationships with external appraisal professionals, industry experts and partners
Support valuation research, database improvements and special projects as required
What you’ll bring to the team
Required qualifications:
A degree in agriculture, finance, commerce or a related field
Minimum five years of experience performing commercial and industrial property appraisals
Professional appraisal designation
Strong knowledge of appraisal principles, market analysis and environmental issues
Intermediate proficiency in both official languages (English and French)
Preferred qualifications:
Advanced experience with environmental risk assessment and management
Experience contributing to valuation research or industry knowledge development
