RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to and lead creative application approaches utilizing Roquette excipients for hard capsules developments via generation of ideas and concepts to meet current and anticipated customer needs and to offer strong alternatives to competitive products.
  • Define and establish the appropriate specifications for the starting materials applied in preliminary development tests of a new hard capsule product.
  •  Define and prepare   Designs of Experiments (DoE) for the characterization of films on laboratory scale. Apply   the expertise and knowledge of thixotropic suspensions and pseudoplastic materials.
  • Elaborate manufacturing pilot batch protocols, and work with the application lab coordinating bench work to support project goals.
  • Write technical development reports, elaborate   project outcome slide decks and   report/present them to other departments.
  • Contribute to maintaining, improving, and advancing technical capabilities in line with current and future business needs and developments.
  • Participate in the design and coordination of the pilot batches and define the in-process controls for subsequent evaluation. Supervise manufacturing and carry out analytical determinations/studies for the monitoring of the processes.
  • Participate in the review and evaluation of pilot batch stability study results.  
  • Participate in meetings with Production and Quality to prepare the manufacturing of industrial machine scaling up batches and identify /consider important points with these departments.
  • Develop new capsule colours and serve as the backup for the capsule colour development function on new customer requests (existing commercial products or new capsule developments).

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

  • Master of Science (MSc) in a relevant discipline, such as Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmaceutical Process Engineering, Industrial Pharmacy Hands-on experience in formulating capsules, including scale up. 
  • Technical credibility and presence in front of team members and customers.
  • At least 8 years of experience in positions of Pharmaceutics/Galenic departments
  • Proficient level of English (oral and written).
  • Complete competence in Office automation and knowledge of internal tools (SAP, JMP, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of GMPs and PRL.
