Essential Functions
Maintain application functionality including:
Advising on the application security model
System and Security Patches, Version Upgrades, Backups, and Disaster recovery process
Work closely with the Office of Audits and Analysis to ensure appropriate controls and audit logs are in place, such as
Investigating for actual or potential security breaches
Ensuring that all identified breaches in security are promptly investigated
Implementing system changes required to maintain security
Ensuring security records are accurate and that requests for support are dealt with according to set standards and procedures
Handles confidential and/or privileged information using discretion and judgment
Application Change Control based on business needs
Plan, coordinate, configure, test, and communicate changes, upgrades/maintenance schedules, and new services with clients, ensuring business operations will operate correctly in current and future environments
Scripting (if applicable)
Develop test plans to verify logic
Ensure proper functionality of integrations
Ensuring that requests for support are dealt with according to SLA
Prioritize, Investigate, Diagnose, and Resolve user issues and incidents
Troubleshoot and/or escalate application issues or defects to vendors
Implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures to facilitate recovery
Monitor, Identify, and Analyze patterns, trends, and issues
Update product and processes as needed
Maintain system documentation

User Management
Coordinate contract renewals, quotes, and invoices of equipment, software, and licensing.
Contribute to the development of strategies, policies, standards, procedures, and tools
Elicit, document, and distribute client feedback on our products and services to interested stakeholders within TSTC
Deliver training, documentation, and process improvement for the Customer Support team
Participate in cross-functional team meetings and represent Support throughout the product release planning phases
Communicate and partner with product owners and business stakeholders to understand requirements, identify application impacts, and recommend solutions.
Partners with cross-functional teams across IT to effectively resolve issues.
May require availability outside of normal working hours.
Understand the business function and workflows of each application.
May provide escalation support and mentoring to Application Administrator personnel.
Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Skills/Knowledge
Associate degree in Information Technology required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology preferred
Minimum of 4 - 6 years related experience
Extensive experience as an Application Administrator or in a similar leadership role.
Demonstrated leadership experience in a team environment
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and clients verbally and through written communication
Excellent time management skills
Ability to multi-task many requests in an organized and timely manner
Must be able to balance and prioritize requests from multiple people
Organizational awareness and the ability to navigate through formal and informal structures
Excellent problem-solving/analytical skills, knowledge of analytical tools, and complex troubleshooting methods.
Outstanding attention to detail with superior time and project management skills
Hands‐on experience in process automation, best practice approach, technology efficiency, and effectiveness.
Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL server and applications based on this architecture.
Working Knowledge of SQL programming language - recommended
Experience with scripting languages and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
Skilled in SQL Query Development for Oracle and MySQL databases.
Working knowledge of Active Directory structure and Group Policies.
Experience with software product development using one or more of the following languages - Linux OS, HTML, C++, Java a plus
CompTIA, A+, Network+, Server+, or ITIL Foundations a plus
