Senior Analytics Consultant - Legal Metrics

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Analytics Consultant to support transformation and modernization initiatives within the Legal department. This hands-on role focuses on developing and operationalizing data-driven insights that enable executive decision-making, strengthen governance, and improve operational transparency across Legal.

You will partner closely with Legal leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to design scalable reporting, dashboards, and analytical solutions that support vendor spend management, performance monitoring, and risk-informed decision-making. Strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights are essential to success in this role.

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with Legal senior leadership in the vendor spend discipline to enhance our leadership dashboards and reporting, that highlights trends and supports data-driven decision making  
  • Use and understanding of cost, productivity, and performance metrics to enhance Legal reporting, dashboards, and decision support
  • Partner with the Legal business teams and product areas to identify opportunities where advanced analytics can drive our reporting forward
  • Compare industry benchmarks with internal Wells Fargo data to enhance reporting accuracy and strengthen analytical conclusions
  • Provide influence and leadership in the identification of new tools and methods to analyze and present summarized information
  • Consult, review and research moderately complex business, operational, and technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable data factors
  • Perform moderately complex data analysis to support and drive strategic initiatives and business needs
  • Lead or participate in large cross-group projects
  • Mentor less experienced staff
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, external contractors, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience translating Legal or other highly regulated business data—including financial and contract spend reporting—into concise, actionable insights through executive‑level dashboards
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and MS Excel, including data modeling and complex analysis
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI or Tableau, with experience designing scalable, executive‑ready dashboards
  • Strong analytical problem‑solving skills, including breaking down ambiguous or complex issues, identifying root causes, and recommending practical solutions
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into analytical solutions and clearly communicate insights to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, including senior leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in matrixed environments, build strong stakeholder relationships, and influence outcomes without direct authority
