The opportunity

This role sits at the centre of QBE’s recovery, exit and resolution planning, supporting the Group’s obligations under APRA prudential standards CPS 190 (Recovery and Exit Planning) and CPS 900 (Resolution Planning). It offers a rare opportunity to build deep expertise in a high‑profile, emerging regulatory space while working closely with senior leaders across the Group.

Your new role

As a Senior Analyst, Recovery, Exit and Resolution Planning, you will take ownership of key elements of QBE’s recovery and resolution framework. You will play a hands‑on role in analysis, documentation and stakeholder engagement, while developing into a trusted subject matter expert, supporting the Group and divisions in meeting regulatory obligations.

Key requirements:

  • Owning the execution and ongoing development of recovery, exit and resolution planning deliverables in line with CPS 190 and CPS 900

  • Preparing high‑quality written materials and analysis, including reports, papers and presentations for Senior executives, Board and Regulator audiences.

  • Coordinating inputs across cross-functional Group and divisional stakeholders to ensure consistency of approach, methodology and documentation

  • Supporting responses to APRA information requests and engaging with regulators as required

  • Embedding recovery and resolution considerations into BAU activities, stress testing and strategic initiatives

  • Building strong working relationships with senior stakeholders including CFOs, executives and Boards, and providing clear, credible advice in complex scenarios

About you

We’re looking for a strong communicator who enjoys getting into the detail, takes ownership, and thrives in a complex regulatory environment. You’ll be curious, resilient and comfortable working with ambiguity, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders and shape thinking in an emerging area of regulation.

  • Proven experience in recovery and resolution planning, or closely related areas such as ICAAP, stress testing or capital and liquidity risk

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence preparing Word and PowerPoint materials for senior audiences

  • Experience working in banking, insurance or consulting, ideally in a regulatory or prudential context

  • Ability to manage complex analysis, coordinate stakeholders and deliver outcomes end‑to‑end within a project‑based environment and an evolving regulatory environment.

  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgement and a pragmatic, execution‑focused mindset

  • The confidence and capability to develop into a recognised subject matter expert
