We are currently looking for a Product Control Senior Analyst. This employee will work within the Risk Management Group and will be responsible for the Product Control Operations at AES Clean Energy.
Main Responsibilities:
· Work with the Risk & Commercial team to develop and improve P&L reporting and P&L attribution.
· Provide daily and monthly commentary on P&L / Variable Margin drivers.
· Assist with validation of MTM for trading portfolio and documentation of variances.
· Work with the trading teams to capture and validate trade entry and ensure that positions and risks are accurately recorded in the ETRM system.
· Work with the Trading Desk to capture and validate price curves for Clean Energy products.
· Work with the Accounting team and Settlements, to review/approve invoice payments.
· Support the Accounting and Finance teams with routine audit requests.
· Assist with monthly Risk Committee reporting on Variable Margin, risk exposures and transaction activity.
· Reconciliation of trade positions between Broker data and ETRM system.
Experience and Skills
· Experience of 3+ years in the energy industry in product control and/or market risk.
· Understanding of MTM, P&L reporting and operational control process for a trading desk is critical.
· Understanding of price validation is helpful.
· Experience with risk reporting and P&L attribution is desirable.
· Knowledge of programming languages (SQL, Python, VBA) is preferred.
· Knowledge of dashboard development (Power BI) is preferred.
· Knowledge of data management systems (Zema) is preferred.
· Experience with ETRM systems, in general, is essential with Allegro experience preferred.
· Experience in several US power markets, including energy, ancillary services, and environmental products.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Engineering, sciences, or equivalent.
