It holds longstanding, leading market positions in many of the markets it serves in the U.S. Investments. The Investments business is one of the key drivers of revenues and profitability at
Corebridge Financial. Our Investments professionals are responsible for investing the insurance premiums and deposits we collect to generate net investment income that is available to pay claims or benefits and provide returns to shareholders. Corebridge Financial Investments provides advisory and asset management solutions to Corebridge Financial, its business units and third-party clients, globally, maintaining an internal investment platform across multiple asset classes. These asset classes include investment grade and high yield corporate debt, sovereign and emerging market debt, municipal debt, securitized products, residential and commercial mortgage loans, private placements, real estate, public equities and private equities. The Investment team is comprised of portfolio managers, traders, research analysts, product owners, loan originators and underwriters and other professionals endeavoring to provide strong returns on our clients’ invested capital. About the role
The primary purpose of the Senior Analyst role is to provide analysis, supporting assistance and enhance the effectiveness of the allocation of assets to the various lines of business within Corebridge.  The Senior Analyst will interact with multiple businesses and functions within Corebridge.

Responsibilities

•    Line of business asset tagging support, tracking, and various reporting.

•    Conduct actual to intended line of business new purchase allocation analysis and recommend corrective action plans for exceptions / discrepancies found.

•    Assist in operating, maintaining, and enhancing the various files used for performing the month end asset allocation, as well as the monthly line of business review and summary of asset tagging reporting.

•    Assist in the design and development of tools for use in the line of business asset allocation process which will enable and assist with adhering as closely as possible to intended line of business preferences for newly purchased assets, along with following certain rules and/or guidelines regarding the general allocation of assets.

•    Assist with the design and implementation of process improvements and automation opportunities to various workstreams.

•    Respond to ad-hoc management requests for investment and portfolio related information and analysis.

•    Participate in special projects, as needed.

Skills & Qualifications
•    Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to understand and write complex formulas and functions.
•    Ability to analyze large data sets and draw concise insightful and meaningful conclusions for communication to management.
•    Knowledge of MicroStrategy, Aladdin, PowerPoint, and Power Pivot/BI a plus.
•    Bachelor’s degree in fields of business, finance, or economics, or extensive related business experience.
•    2-3 years of industry experience.
•    Self-starter, with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, along with keen attention to detail.
•    Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced multi-company, multi-system, deadline-oriented environment.
•    Strong verbal communication skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
•    Knowledge and understanding of insurance company assets and liabilities. 

Work Location

This position is based in Corebridge Financial’s Houston, TX office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.
