Role Summary

The Senior Analyst, Investment Liaison supports the Private Asset Management (PAM) organization by ensuring operational excellence and exceptional client service across the full lifecycle of client investment activities. This role partners closely with portfolio managers, internal teams, and external stakeholders to proactively manage client and investment operational needs, identify and solve business problems, enhance processes, and deliver a seamless client experience. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, deep functional expertise, and the ability to lead cross-functional efforts through operational and organizational change. 

Responsibilities 

Client & Portfolio Support: 

  • Independently oversee operational and client-relationship activities for a diverse book of client portfolios, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of client, custodian, and internal needs.
  • Support the client experience across onboarding, portfolio operations, life event coordination, client access facilitation, and offboarding. 
  • Meet regularly with Portfolio Managers to align priorities, address client requests, and deliver consistent high-quality service. 
  • Respond independently to recurring and ad hoc investment-related inquiries from clients, consultants, and internal teams. 

Investment Operations & Data Management: 

  • Research and analyze investment, benchmark, and performance data for client portfolios, ensuring accuracy and accountability. 
  • Resolve pre-trade compliance issues and coordinate responses to corporate actions. 
  • Maintain strategy-level data and composites; process discretionary trade orders and coordinate with relevant teams. 
  • Ensure operational readiness and manage documentation, dependencies, and workflows for new or enhanced products, services, or processes. 

Communication & Deliverables: 

  • Review and finalize client meeting presentations, reporting packages, and briefing materials for Portfolio Managers. 
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external partners; communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. 

Process Improvement & Team Leadership: 

  • Lead or contribute to departmental initiatives focused on improving efficiency, scalability, risk reduction, or regulatory alignment. 
  • Identify and recommend solutions that improve operational efficiency and client outcomes; conduct end-to-end analysis of process and data impacts. 
  • Provide guidance, training, and subject matter expertise to junior team members; ensure accurate procedural documentation and continuity across investment strategies. 

Qualifications 

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 
  • 5+ years of total relevant work experience with a focus on client service within financial services/asset management. 

Preferred:

  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience with the ability to motivate teams, drive performance, and lead cross-functional groups through change. 
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodology, including writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and extracting requirements from multiple business partners. 
  • Knowledge of the Financial Services and Asset Management industries. 
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. 
  • Strong analytical abilities with high attention to detail, accuracy, and deadlines. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining organization, flexibility, and sound judgment. 
  • Comfortable conveying technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.

Base Salary Ranges

$87,000.00 - $148,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
$95,500.00 - $163,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$108,000.00 - $185,000.00 for the location of: New York, California

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the roleBase salary is only one component of our total compensation packageEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
