Job Summary
The Senior Analyst, Data Visualization Engineer supports the development of data visualization products by transforming structured datasets into clear, reliable, and accurate visualizations and reports. This role delivers dashboards and data that support recurring strategic and operational decisions—such as performance assessment, rate optimization, hotel consultation, and direct hotel‑level reporting. The position executes moderately complex analytical tasks that contribute to organizational performance and growth.
The Senior Analyst works closely with peers on the Data Visualization team as well as analytics and data engineering partners to translate reporting requirements into high‑quality Tableau dashboards and data products that drive informed decision‑making. - Supports communication between data engineering, analytics, and business partners by gathering task‑level requirements, confirming definitions, and relaying information under the direction of senior team members or the manager.
- Translates documented business requirements into clear specifications for assigned dashboard elements or report updates, ensuring alignment with existing BI processes and escalating unclear or conflicting requirements.
- Executes recurring reporting tasks and supports maintenance of the BI/reporting roadmap by tracking updates, documenting changes, and identifying small improvements for review by senior team members.
- Assists in driving data product adoption by preparing documentation, updating training materials, supporting user questions, and helping coordinate content for quarterly stakeholder meetings.
- Contributes to enhancements to the Tableau roadmap by researching visualization trends, proposing minor improvements, and testing new features under senior team member supervision.
