Temporary position for 24 months
As a Senior Advisor, you work on complex projects, initiatives and activities. You provide advice and support on the rollout and integration of programs, systems, products and management tools. You lead development projects and strategic initiatives that are complex and innovative. Your initiatives require extensive knowledge of your specialty area. You make recommendations on the planning and execution of operationally and conceptually complex projects and initiatives that require comprehensive analysis and understanding of the organization and line of business. Coordination is critical, so you interact with stakeholders working in many other fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. You serve as specialist advisor and subject matter expert, as well as resource person and coach for decision-making bodies. You bring a strategic and innovative mindset, with strong decision-making and influencing skills that allow you to lead complex initiatives with confidence. Your technical proficiency combined with strong analytical capabilities, enables you to deliver data-driven insights and solutions. You excel in communication and stakeholder management, and your customer service orientation and professionalism reflect Desjardins’ core values. More specifically, you will be required to:
Advise your clients and partners to help them position, plan, develop, execute and monitor strategic projects and initiatives
Develop and update policies, standards, models and programs to support your unit’s strategic projects and initiatives
Identify, analyze and diagnose major issues and make recommendations to decision-making bodies
Represent your unit before decision-making bodies
Represent Desjardins’s position when making agreements with external partners and organizations
Develop and present strategic recommendations to leadership, incorporating feedback and partnering with internal stakeholders to implement approved plans
Leverage analytical tools to support data-driven decision-making and reporting and create presentations
Collaborate effectively across the organization, building strong relationships and managing stakeholders to ensure successful execution of initiatives

What you bring to the table
Bachelor's degree in a related field
A minimum of seven years of relevant experience including leadership experience
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Advanced experience collaborating across diverse teams and business units
Expert proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English speaking partners, members and/or clients
Advanced knowledge of Property and Casualty Insurance
Advanced knowledge with Power point and Microsoft Office
