TigerConnect is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Accounting Team in Mexico City. This pivotal role involves meticulous handling of our corporate accounting processes, focusing primarily on U.S. financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the precision and timeliness of various accounting tasks, including journal entry preparation, month-end closing activities, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes. Additionally, this role encompasses vital responsibilities in audit preparation and treasury functions.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Prepare and record daily, weekly, and monthly journal entries in NetSuite, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP
  • Document, maintain, and improve accounting SOPs and accounting policies
  • Support the month-end and quarter-end close process, including cash, accruals, intercompany, prepaids, expenses and other recurring accounting activities
  • Perform monthly general ledger and bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis, helping explain key drivers impacting financial results
  • Support the preparation of internal reporting and operational metrics, including backlog, ARR, and other financial KPIs
  • Prepare documentation and schedules to support internal and external audits, ensuring proper recordkeeping and compliance
  • Assist with treasury-related activities, including bank activity monitoring and documentation of ACH or wire transactions for AP and payroll runs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Finance, RevOps, Payroll, and FP&A to ensure accurate financial data and reporting alignment
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, strengthen controls, and reduce manual processes within shared services operations
  • Leverage automation, data tools, and emerging AI-enabled solutions to improve the efficiency of accounting processes, streamline reconciliations and reporting tasks, and enhance the quality of financial insights


What You Bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally supporting corporate accounting or financial operations within a multinational or SaaS environment
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP accounting principles, financial close processes, and general ledger operations
  • Experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and financial reporting tools
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, pivot tables, and financial modeling
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate variances and identify root causes
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Curiosity and openness to leveraging automation, data tools, or AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual work
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders
  • Professional working proficiency in English (CEFR B2 or higher) required
  • Quick learning ability and independent work ethic, taking full ownership of responsibilities
  • Flexibility to work during standard U.S. time zones and necessary travel to the U.S
