Your Opportunity, Your Team
As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting QVC UK and ensuring strong financial accounting, reporting and control across the UK business. You will lead month‑end close, statutory and SEC reporting, and drive improvements to accounting processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency and governance. You will act as a trusted finance partner across the organization, working closely with the Accounting Manager and wider global teams.
Where You’ll Work
This role is hybrid and will require you to be onsite at our Kraków between 3-5 times per month. Onsite days are predetermined and standard across the company.
What You’ll Do
Own and control the monthly financial close process, ensuring all activities and reviews are completed on time, aligned with control requirements, and delivered with accuracy and quality
Prepare, review and deliver monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, including statutory accounts and SEC reporting, with clear commentary on significant variances
Maintain strong balance sheet governance through analytical review, oversight of reconciliations, and leadership of investigations to resolve outstanding or complex items
Ensure correct accounting treatment for significant contracts, accruals, reserves and adjustments, in compliance with FRS102 and US GAAP
Take end‑to‑end responsibility for the accounting of non‑operating entities within the UK Group
Support internal and external audits, providing documentation, demonstrating controls, leading walkthroughs and responding confidently to queries
Drive continuous improvement, reviewing and enhancing processes to strengthen financial control, efficiency and best‑practice standards
Lead or support financial projects from initiation to completion
Provide cover for team members and deputies for the Accounting Manager when required
What You’ll Bring
Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience
Accountancy-related education with/or a recognized accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA or Polish equivalent)
Strong understanding of technical accounting standards, SOX/internal control frameworks
Significant experience managing month‑end close processes and delivering financial reporting in a complex environment
Experience with SAP (or similar ERP)
Strong technical expertise across FRS102 UK GAAP and/or US GAAP
Strong understanding of the chart of accounts, clearing accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and accounting controls
Experience delivering process improvements, enhancing efficiency and strengthening financial controls
Experience with multi-currency, large corporate environments
Confident communicator with strong analytical, problem‑solving and financial reporting skills
Ability to work autonomously, prioritize effectively and provide reliable insights and recommendations
Very good English skills
