Senior Accountant, General Accounting

Position Summary:

Plays a key role in supporting month-end close, financial reporting, and analytical insights that enable informed business decision-making. This position partners cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and IT to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and timely delivery of financial analyses with a particular focus on inventory reporting and performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses
  • Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc financial reporting for management and key stakeholders
  • Own and maintain month/quarter end reporting and analysis
  • Perform variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods; identify drivers and provide clear, actionable insights
  • Partner with operations, supply chain, and IT to ensure financial results are GAAP-compliant and aligned with company accounting policies
  • Support and maintain internal controls, including documentation and adherence to SOX or similar control frameworks
  • Support quarterly and yearly external audit by providing necessary documentation
  • Develop and enhance financial reports, and dashboards to improve transparency and decision support
  • Prepare executive-ready materials and presentations using PowerPoint to communicate financial results and trends
  • Leverage SAP and other financial systems to extract, validate, and analyze large, complex datasets
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, data quality, and operational efficiency

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • 4–7 years of progressive experience in FP&A, accounting, or a related finance role
  • Hands-on experience with month-end close and financial reporting
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Experience supporting internal controls and interacting with external auditors
  • Proven ability to manage detailed, deadline-driven work with a high degree of accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Experience working with SAP
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Experience with inventory and manufacturing
