Job Summary:

To support our Team in Plattling we are looking for an

Accounting Manager (m/f/d)


Primary Function

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Accounting Manager to join our local Finance team in Plattling with the ambition to manage our Financial Accounting and close the local books (HGB) as lead of the local Accounting team of four experienced Accountants.

This includes also close cooperation with external tax advisors and auditors as well as acting as business partner in the organization on all Accounting related topics.

The role requires strong proficiency in German language and decent communication level in English based on our international set-up.
 

Your tasks:

  • Lead and manage the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial closing of the books.

  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with local GAAP

  • Collaborate with external tax advisors and manage the preparation of tax returns.

  • Lead the coordination with external auditors and manage the audit process.

  • Ensure compliance with the relevant accounting standards and regulations.

  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration with the parent company.

  • Drive process optimization and efficiency improvements within the accounting department.

  • Act as a business partner to other departments, providing financial insights and support.

  • Foster a positive work environment and promote a service-oriented mindset.

  • Manage international collaborations as needed and ensure effective communication across borders.
     

Your qualification:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in accounting or finance.

  • Proven experience in team management and leadership

  • Education background preferably as German certified accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter)

  • Strong knowledge of HGB and basic understanding of IFRS.

  • Experience in working with external tax advisors and auditors.

  • Excellent German language skills (both written and spoken).

  • Good English language skills (both written and spoken).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with the parent company and other departments.

  • Positive attitude and a strong sense of service orientation.

  • Experience in process optimization and efficiency improvement.

  • Experience in international collaboration is a plus.
